Yavaris seems a bit of a waste with so few fighters unless you bolt them to her.

I agree. Yavaris seems a little useless with only being used on Luke and one B. I would also move Raymus to the AF, he can worry about controlling squads. Go one Neb vanilla and one with salvation. Keep up slow and straight and just keep pumpin knowing that theyll likely die but you get the most hits possible for somewhat cheap value. I mean you can trade 102 for serious damage on one decked out AF or ISD; if you roll 6 red in two rounds back to back. Just ,make sure to finish it with AF or corvette. Which is my next point, I would place leading shots on the corvette. That blue corvette with leading shots and pride is so brutal. You can roll three blue from front. no crits? no problem! burn a die and reroll 2. That early faceup card with full shields can make it 10x harder for them.

I could lose Leia for the points/bid, or I can pick 3 objectives that don't bother me... but I'm not sure which those would be at this point.

I like the idea of keeping Leia near my flagship in case I need to call an audible.

For what it's worth, my buddy took second running a whale, yavaris, a Corvette A with 2 B-s, Luke, and Tycho. We had some tough opponents too (4th and 5th at GenCon). Everyone seemed taken aback at the fighter ball from Yavaris and wouldn't get close to it (from personal experience it munches on Demolisher). You don't have to go on the offensive with it, wait for them to come to you and keep those front shields forward.

Garm helps too because the extra squadron token first round allows you to activate that third squadron.

I wish I owned a second whale... but now it might be somewhat moot with the new wave
