Kwick clarification:

SLAMmed maneuvers maintain their color, including Green.

I seem to recall that the Episode 7 Core Set repositioned the "Check Stress" step into the execution of the maneuver itself.

Theoretically, this means performing a Green maneuver and a Green maneuver in the same round is possible.

However, is there any utility here?

  • Can you acquire a stress token in between starting the SLAM and checking the stress of the maneuver (The only window in which clearing a stress with the green of SLAM is possible)?
  • Are there any non-stress related activities allocatable to the K-Wing that benefit from performing Greens?

Where does it say that a SLAM keeps the colour? I can't find that anywhere. You've got to choose the same speed as the maneuver you just executed, but there's no mention of keeping the colour.

But the only way I can see that you would get a stress token after your initial maneuver, was if you managed to land on a debris cloud, thus gaining a token and denying you the chance for your SLAM action.

It would also be impossible to clear a stress token with a 'Green SLAM', because if you've got one going into the Perform Action step, you can't SLAM.

SLAM doesn't maintain the color of the original maneuver. But it is the color of the selected maneuver for the SLAM maneuver itself. This could lead to double green maneuvers. Or, if you have some way to clear stress between the first maneuver and the action, double red maneuvers.

Sorry, a bit off topic, but this got me thinking about a possible future upgrade card..

Something that let's you remove a stress after a red move, so you still get your action .. maybe yet another one use ept...

I am pretty hazy on the card, but wouldn't that be Adrenaline Rush?

Yeah that's pretty much exactly Adrenaline Rush lol
