PbP Recruitment: Strike Force Isk

By Baron Soontir Fel, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Hey everyone. A play by post game over on the Friends and Nemeses forums, Strike Force Isk, is currently recruiting two players to fulfill three roles: the squad medic, squad techie, and close combat specialist. If you're interested, stop on by and shoot a note to our GM ShadoWarrior. Existing player characters can be seen in our character database if you aren't sure how you're going to fit in.

I'm in this campaign as the dour pilot Caiden Tane and the redoubtable awaypturwpn is our de facto team leader, Telle Torrun. If you have questions that I can answer please don't hesitate to ask. I look forward to playing with y'all.

Hey, who you callin' "de facto?"

I'd be interested in this. I'll hit the GM up.

I'll hit the GM up.

Please don't hit me. I surrender. :P

Consider me interesting, although I am unfamiliar with partaking in PbP. Other than the listed roles and the linked house rules, what else would I need to know?

At this point, it looks like we've already filled the positions. Sorry! If we have another opening, the only other key information is that our GM prefers specialists to generalists. This is a rebel team assembled for a reason: everyone should be quite good at what they do.

Just for the record, I do have another PbP game that is always recruiting: my 'conversion' of WEG's Far Orbit Project.

How do you run a PbP? GM poses a scenario and poses a question at the end of it? Players decide and GM gives skill checks for them to do?

There are lots of examples of PbPs right here on these forums (Age of Rebellion & Force and Destiny), and the game in question is linked at the top of the page. If you're curious, you could give them a skim!

At least one of the slots is still available. One of the players who wanted in appears to have backed out, as he hasn't replied to any posts made since he inquired. Also, only experienced roleplayers should apply to this game. The GM (me) is rather hard on players and while I don't have a problem teaching players who are new to the FFG system (for example, coming from d6 WEG or d20 Saga Edition, or even just d20 D&D), both my temperament and the pacing of my games isn't suitable to someone with very little experience with pen & paper RPGs (especially if they're also new to the PbP medium).

Hey, who you callin' "de facto?"

You! You're always full of questions. Hence your alias of Mr. de Fact, oh. :P

ShadoWarrior, do you have a link to the Far Orbit Project game? And it also uses the FFG system, yes?
