Rebels 5 ship 3 TLT list

By surly88, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I'm toying around with small rebel swarms and had some decent success so far. Here's my current take on the list:

Rebel Operative (16)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Chewbacca (4)

Gold Squadron Pilot (18)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
R3-A2 (2)

Gold Squadron Pilot (18)
Twin Laser Turret (6)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

Total: 100

Played the list against Vader, Soontir, Palpa-Shuttle and Poe, Wedge and Jake and won both games.

I'm torn between Moldy Crow and Chewy on the Operative. So far I only played with Moldy Crow and liked it quite well, but I consider changing for Chewie for an upcoming tournament this weekend.

I expect a rather mixed up field with lots of various lists, so having a bring-it-all-list with decent results would be my aim. Worst Matchup I expect to be Bots, but beside that I'm confident against most things.

Also, I considered switching the HWK into Jake, which would make the list look like this:

Jake Farrell (24)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Chardaan Refit (-2)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Gold Squadron Pilot (18)
Twin Laser Turret (6)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

Any ideas to improve the lists are highly appreciated. Thanks ;)

I like both lists a a fair bit! In your first one, I mean, I feel Chewie is a bit extravagant to heal a Rebel Operative. I would just bump the Op up to Roark and either take an initiative bid or add Nien Nunb. That way you can use one of your TLTs against uncloaked Phantoms or burn a token or two off of Fel before he gets to fire.

As for Jake, he's fantastic just like that. He's your Brobots counter I think, or at least stands the best chance at flanking them; easier said than done, but blocking them with your Bandits and then smacking them with the Golds is the other option. They just stand the best chance at getting into your TLT bubbles. Alternatively, you could trade in the two Bandits for a Blue B-Wing with Fire-Control System, and that would be able to put the hurt on high AGI targets better. However the downside of the B-Wing is that it's one less body with which to block or attack, and is more susceptible to return fire from TLTs. That one is playstyle preference.

For the first list you could run Kyle katarn (passenger) over chewie, he would work nicely with r3a2

I've been looking at Jake with the possibility of using Wired instead of VI.

Jake is PS7, which still gives him the advantage over Brobots and most multi-ship builds.

Wired also give you some added rerolls when you are facing TLT that can make a difference.

Just depends on what you think you will run into.

I am going to try play testing him like this over the weekend.

I get why you would want to use wired, but I feel like you need to make sure jake shoots first as much as possible, to get the best useage out of him. Also moving last is really important for arc dodging.

Wired + PTL + Autothrusters + Chardaan/Procket is probably the best A-Wing build.

I think Wired vs VI is an interesting choice, because in some games being PS9 will be crucial, but in others it will literally o be useless. Wired will always work, and can make Jake a bit stronger. I guess you just need to analyze the matchups. Do you fear VI Brobots, Soontir, and PtL Corran/Poe, or will you fear TLTs and swarms more?

Not an easy choice.

I've been testing a similar list to your Jake build. I just added the third Y-Wing with TLT.

So it's:

Jake Farrell

-PtL

-Title

-Chardaan Refit

-VI

-Thrusters

Gold Squad. Pilot (x3)

-TLT

Haven't run it against much yet, but I'm preparing for a tournament next weekend. Any tips on bad matchups? My friend runs bots, so I expect to get a good bit of testing in under my belt tomorrow. I'll report back with results.

i like this list a lot. i think ur arc dodger/flanker gives it a little extra vs the expected meta of TLT's.
