Well my first tournament at my FLGS is coming up and I have a few lists I'm working on, a friend and I are practicing soon to narrow everything down for the two us (both playing, about 12 people I think). Anyways there one is like opinions/ help on. It's a Chewbo list now but I'm also debating between that and Chewie + Gold Y x2 but would like some suggestions

Which one seems more durable / better planned and if I went with the Golds should I try ions for control or TLT for three turrets? Also Y Wing title, yay or nay?

I'm pretty sure they'll be at least 2 Brobot lists, a swarm and a Decimator list there for reference.

Personally, I would prefer the Y-Wing list for quantity purposes. PTL isn't all that great on a YT-1300, but if you're using Jan Ors, it might be a better idea (perhaps replace Recon Spec w/ Nien Nunb for more greens?). When it comes to the Y-Wings, the ICTs are actually only five points. Furthermore, perhaps a bit of variance? One ICT and one TLT might do nicely. One controls where your opponent moves and the other hammers them damage wise. As for BTL-A4, I would not use it on both of your Ys, if at all. The extra 2-dice attack usually isn't worth sacrificing the 360 (in my opinion; perhaps if Y-Wings were 3 primary...). Hope this helps.

(PS - I've never played in a tournament myself, and there are people on here I'd listen to more than me. Just trying to give you some ideas and hopefully helpful advice.)

BBBBZ is also another possibility for me I'm hoping to try first before the tourney. Anyone play that before and any suggestions with it?

This one's pretty good. However, I'd trade something out...

1. Lose the Shield Upgrade.
2. Put Ors on Leebo
3. Give Chewie a Gunner or C3P0

Ors can still buff Chewie if he's in range. Moreover, you'd be rocking Wave III version of Han Shoots First if you go with PTL (which you should, as getting Evade and Double Focus, or Focus and Double Evade, is definitely worth the mobility nerf).

Still, I think TLT is proving itself deadly, and this list has the benefit of being very user-friendly for a first-tournament.

Figure out how to pick up the MF Title as well if you're going with Push, though. This is more important than the Astromechs.

Your suggestions are very helpful and appreciated! The astromechs were mainly to match the unhinged version I'm sure they can go and the Ys will still be able to stick around with the Falcon. And Jan on Leebo is a good idea that slipped my mind, thanks!

Okay - Pyrothayan brings up some good points but this is how I run Chewiebo - and granted I'm partial to my own build, but I think this is the best variation of it.

Chewie: PTL, Jan Ors, APL, Nien Numb, Falcon Title

Leebo: Determination, RecSpec, Outrider Title, Mangler, APL

What this leaves you with is 2 ships that when in range 3 of each other both come out with a focus and an evade each turn. Or if you think Chewie is going to get hit hard that turn you can load him with double evade and leave Leebo on double focus. Chewie has a way to clear his stress with Nien Numb, you have an answer for high PS arc dodgers with the APL which eliminates the need for gunner and you have PS advantage over swarms so you are shooting first and hopefully dropping a TIE or a Z...

Only think that I can see fouling you up is 4x TLT Ys, I would play that matchup extremely aggressively and get in tight to his formation, be where he wants to be next turn since he has to move first. This will throw off his flight pattern, make him predictable, and prevent him from focusing all 4 TLTs on one of your ships.

Always thought that Outrider and Mangler would make a great combo. Really, its the only way to run an Outrider without doing only one damage or leaving a gap in your defenses. All I know is that my friend's YT-2400 usually dies pretty fast in our Epic matches (but that could be b/c almost my entire team targets it at once). I still think numerical benefits of the Y-Wings outweigh Leebo (but I'm that guy who fields swarms of TIE Fighters)

Mangler Outrider leaves you with similar jousting values to the Falcon.

I do enjoy Mangler Outrider, extra die , hit to crit, no donut equals good stuff. Also, 4 TLT hasn't been a thing in my areas meta, we all know about it but pretty much said no to it for now since there's limited places to by X Wing around here and everyone's too lazy to go online and get a second Most Wanted exp or K Wing.
