Replacement Killers - Scum list

Playing around with some Scum variations. Came up with this one. Latts stripping away the agility dice, and Cobra/Kavil pounding away with all those dice. Tactics wise I could see 3 ships not in a very loose formation with Talonbane and Latts hanging back, since Latts ability doesn't seem to be range dependent so he can hang back with Cobra to use his ability. Meanwhile Kavil is pushing forward and trying to flank.


Pro: stripping agility and extra attack dice

Con: Kavil having to be forward unsupported.

Cobra Commander really needs to be pushing forward with Kavil. His extra green dice at range 3 is irrelevant when you're getting pounded by TLTs or HLCs. Keep him at range 1 throwing 5 reds instead.

Kavil needs a better gun than the Blaster turret. It requires him to Focus every round and he can't even use it to modify his dice. Give him an Autoblaster turret instead, so he can throw a possible 3 unblockable hits. Use those 2 points for either Glitterstim on Cobra or a Seismic on Kavil to help clear out swarms.

Latts is a great support ship, and he's loaded out about perfect.

I flew against a very similar list in a tournament, but it had N'Dru in place of Kavil. It worked very well for my opponent.

excellent point on cobras ability, I think I was reading it wrong or just spacing out.

I reworked it bit to give Kavil auto blaster and engine upgrade to get him in there quicker. had to give up predator but that's probably ok.

If you wanted to keep blaster turret on Kavil, I would suggest dropping VI and changing unhinged astromech to R4 agromech. Because you spend the focus to use the blaster turret, you would immediately acquire a target lock that you can use in your attack. It's a pretty sweet combo.

Honestly, I've had some great experiences with Kavil and autoblaster turret. My friends absolutely hate him : ). I use him with the unhinged as that does beautiful things for his movement but the R4 Agromech can also be cool.

I've considered a similar build to this and it looks great.

With Talonbane as the others said, get him in there and commit to it. Last night I have 3 seperate instances where I was a bit conservative and missed range 1 by about a mm. You want him in their face and throwing those 5 dice. One good roll like that can down many fighters.
