Twin Laser Turret acording to FAQ

Hi, I have a doubt regarding Twin Laser Turret. According to the latest FAQ edition:

Twin Laser Turret is treated as two separate attacks against the same target. During the second attack, the “Declare Defender and Weapon” step is skipped.

Does this mean that we can role defense dice twice, since they are considered two separate attacks? This can change this weapon a little...

You always rolled defense dice after every attack from the TLT. Nothing changed there.

Er like with cluster missiles you roll defence dice every time they roll attack dice.

If you went rolling green dice for both attacks you were playing it wrong.

All the faq did was make it clear you can't attack two different targets which we'd already figured would be the case.

It also keeps R3-A2 from activating on the second TLT shot or any other ability that triggers when a target is declared.

If you couldn't roll defense dice twice, wouldn't it be simpler as a 6 Attack turret?

Wouldn't be quite the same, because modifications like Target Lock and Focus would only apply to half the dice.

Which is an interesting idea for abilities - add dice (either attack or defense) that can't be modified. They'd be weaker than a full new die, and could be priced accordingly. Not sure we'd see it, since it could be fiddly... I actualy suspect they'll add new types of dice before they go that route.

I would like to be a fly on the wall for your tlt games.:)

No change, TLT has always been played this way at my gaming group.

As everyone previous to me has said, it's always been this way. How were you guys resolving your TLT attacks?
