Ive flown the banner for the Scyk for a while now. 5 Heavys with Manglers when flown well is a good strong list. Ive taken 3 or better in 3 tournaments with that list.

BUT

After seeing the TIE/FO and the incredable synergies between Epsilon and Omega squadrons.....Ive been converted. As soon as the blisters come out Im picking up at least 3 of them.

The Sycks arent bad scum ships but for the points the FO is far superior.

BUT the Scyk has a better slow-play than the Interceptor, and is a little more damaging at R 2-3, and comes with a free Targeting Computer.

Would anyone really fly one or more Scyks without the title?

I've personally never done this, so I cannot imagine why the benefits of the title were not baked into the ship itself. It also boggles the mind that the title does not add an illicit slot and/or 1 hull in addition to the missile/torpedo/cannon.

I've flown generic Scyks without title a number of times. I think they do better with the Kihraxz Fighter now and I have only picked one up. I haven't had enough time to throw those generics in a list again. I've been working on my Tie Bombers instead.

I think a lot of people don't give a generic Scyk without title enough credit. It is a lot more mobile than a Z-95 and has the chance to withstand more damage per shot.
