So I have recently been playing Palpamobile plus double aces list, and I must say, wow. I feel like this is going to be a staple Imp list in the future. TLT has taken the limelight off it, but I feel it is very strong. Currently, it has gone undefeated in the past three local store tournaments/casual nights at my FLGS. I have seen several variations on it. The two I have run had Palpy + Whisper + Maarek and Palpy + Carnor + Fel.

Strengths? Weaknesses? Personal favorite variations and why? Discuss the Dark Lord of the Sith!

I think that my favorite version would have to be Vader, Carnor, and Palpatine. Not only is it thematic as all 3 are force users, but Carnor is a royal guard! Also Carnor can really benefit from the extra defense insured by the emperor. It also allows FCS or APL on the shuttle.

Personal fave is Palpatine/Echo/Jax. And yeah, it's going to be a thing.

Maarek I've found is quite good with palpatine, since you're switching to crits a lot.

Who do you focus down first?

I've had a great deal of success running Emperor, Whisper, and Juno. The added maneuverability of Juno really helps keep the enemy off-balance, and she seems to end up tanking in most of my matches.

This could work great once the Inquisitor is out; he's 25pt base and you can probably (just barely) squeeze him in at a viable 28 (Autothrusters + VI or title). He'd prefer a few more, but it's certainly not bad.

I think I like Kenkirk and Soontir with Palpatine and Isard the best. Haven't played with or against it, but as a list design.

Palpatine makes Soontir effectively unkillable, so the only way to take it on is to get rid of Kenkirk, and guaranteeing Soontir gets to end game. Which is also terrible.

Ive been running OGP with Palp and Ion projectors,

Epsilon Leader + Epsilon squaddie

Soontir +PTL+Stealth+autothrusters

Epsilon leader is great in this setup, set him to patrol around the lambda and watch it pull hard 2 red turns all game! Havent lost a game yet with this setup, most often going 100-0!

Makes me want to cry just thinking about how beautiful this list is.

If I'm looking at 2 point second mods on Sontir, I think I prefer TIE engines. The extra green moves make him a tiny bit more flexible. Soontir already has 4 actions on his bar, so having a 5th isn't the most important thing. And Palpentine can help his offense if he needs it, so a nice maneuverability upgrade can help.

Granted: I'm not sold on either of them over Hull or Stealth Device. But sometimes you just don't have that extra point.

I like mixed aces over 2 of the same ship, especially interceptors. I always feel like Fel and Jax want to occupy the same lanes.

I've been thinking about reducing Vader to a 1 or 2 point EPT so I can afford SD on Soontir. How often are you able to use LW? Keeping him out or R2 of the other two has not been an issue?
