Tallon Rolls and Segnor's Loop Questions

By crunchbacca, in X-Wing Rules Questions

This is probably already asked in another section, but I need to know.

Are these maneuvers available to all ships now that they are in the game, or just the ships they came out with? I don't see any special icons on the ships they came with and the new rule book just has them listed as maneuvers.

Anyone?

Maneuvers are the things on a ships dial. A ship can perform any maneuver that is on its dial, and none of the maneuvers that aren't, baring a few exceptions that are explicitly spelled out on upgrades and special abilities.

All of the ships that can perform the new maneuvers have those maneuvers listed on their dials.

A ship can only execute maneuvers on its maneuver dial*.

A Tie/fo fighter can do a 2-speed left Segnor's loop; all you have to do is select that maneuver on its dial when setting dials. It cannot do a 3-speed Segnor's loop because that maneuver is not on its dial. A Y-Wing cannot do any Segnor's loops because there are no Segnor's loop maneuvers on its dial.

So these maneuvers are only available on ships that have them on their dials.

*Technically, certain rare card effects can cause a ship to execute a maneuver not on its dial.

Sorry, I bumped my head, and forgot about the dial. thanks to all who reminded me of this.
