Gozanti Deckplans

By RebelDave, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Does anyone have any?

Besides the 3 or 4 that come up on google?

None of those agree with one another, which I put down to the usual "CEC Highly customisable design philosophy"

Some have two loading elevators, some have one and a loading ramp.

None show any external airlocks.

What we DO see in Rebels, is that they do have a forward elevator (As troops are seen disembarking from it), and they certainly have an airlock of docking with other ships.

But they cannot agree on the number of decks.

And annoyingly, I see some kind of internal deckplan for next week, as my players are trying to retrieve some stolen cargo, and while they have said cargo, one of them is going to try and infiltrate the ship to disable it.... and I'd like something to work with.

Any suggestions?

I was looking these up last night. Google Images "gozanti deck plans" and you'll get a shipload.

That only gives me 7 results. Of which, nly 3 get remotely close to what I need. And some are the typical.. cockpit.... cargo bay.

I kind of need a more involved interior to slow my player down, and possibly prevent him sabotaging the ship.

So while I appreciate the advice, I wouldnt call 7 results a "ship load"... the rest of the results are not Gozantis, or are all exteriors.

More than 7 that I see. There's one there with three decks. It's not that big a ship, so I don't know how "involved" you can expect the interior to be.

Maybe your google is throwing up different results... but i only get 7 Gozantis, in the top 2 rows of images. (6 on the top row (presuming your screen displays 8 images), and one on the second row)

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=gozanti+deck+plans&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAWoVChMI-YG4rryfyAIVgV0aCh0uCgH8&biw=1920&bih=914&dpr=1#imgrc=NOCJypXraOxBLM%3A(I have no idea if that will display the results I have gotten or not, but worth a shot)

The rest are either external views, or decidedly not Gozantis.

I want to avoid a "big open space" otherwise he can simply get in, and go unnoticed.

The best I have has some corridors that go through communal areas, where I can logically have some crew, that he is going to have to 'deal with' (Not necessarily kill or incapacitate, as per the Players intended character motivations).

The external layout I have already described to players, is that the ship has two cargo elevators (no ramp), one fore and one aft. And he would enter via the forward lift. The best I can find is the FIFTH image on the top row (the one that is titled in the image).

While conversely, the image THIRD on the top, would (presuming you swap the elevator for a ramp), simply let him traverse one room to reach the engines....

Sorry If i am not being clear.... just trying to provide a 'problem' for my player to 'resolve', rather than a simple straight run, which would be dull.

EDIT: As for Size, im using Wookieepdias 'Canon' Entry of 64 meters long. (Which is what i based the pirate camps size from). Im trying to be as canon as possible, and use the EU only as and when I feel it appropriate.

Between CW and Rebels we've seen the Gozanti comes is several different configurations that reach a bit beyond the usual "highly modifiable" tag. So it really seems like you could almost pic your favorite and roll with it.

Yeah, issue is, none fit what I am really looking for.... and I currently dont have the time or motivation to modify one to my desired standards....

I think im going to go with the best I have and Draw on the printout... which I feel lets my players down quality wise... but I just dont have time to recreate a plan with the tools I have...

Oh well.. beggers can be choosers!

I sympathize. Would love to have beautiful detailed maps for everything, but sometimes ya just gotta pull out the dry erase boards and hope you can communicate the situation....
