Everyone Gets a Focus aka Opera Scum

By Wiredin, in X-Wing Squad Lists

The idea here is to horde the focus

Graz The Hunter

Palob Godalhi - Moldy Crow/Calculation/TLT/Recon Spec

Kaa'to Leeachos - Wired

2x Black Sun Soldiers

or variation:

Palob - MC/Calc/TLT/Recon

Kaa'to Leeachos

4x Black Sun Soldiers

The key here is Palob and Kaa'to stealing and generating focus together. Every turn build 2 focus on Kaa'to stealing one from Palob which he hopefully stole from an opponent, otherwise he focus actions and uses recon specialist to gain a second. Best case he gets 4 focus a turn. Stockpiles it to constantly supply Calculation and Kaa'to. The remaining fighters play blocker and annoy the opponent. Either the opponent swarms the two focus fiends and they take one or two out before they go down leaving the remaining 3/4 fighters to mop up, or they are kept occupied by the others so the focus fiends can take the enemy down.

The question is, does Wired make sense at all in this build? Or would it be better to spend it on something like VI or an extra ship?

Leachos' pilot ability: "At the start of the Combat phase, you may remove 1 focus or evade token from another friendly ship at Range 1-2 and assign it to yourself"

So how do you stack more than two focuses on him and why? I guess I'm missing the point of Leachos in this whole thing?

you take the focus from Palob. you can now use your action to TL, or add an additional focus. use one for defense and one for offense. use both for offense, use both for defense.

Calculation does nothing together with a TLT since you can never get any crit results using a TLT

Or rather, you do, it's just they're immediately canceled if you hit the opponent.
