If the Hound's Tooth was stressed when it gets destroyed, does the Nashta Pup keeps the stress token or not when it deploys?

We played it that yes yesterday, but I was not sure of the call. Since I was the one with the Pup, I decided to call it against me (keep the stress) and check later.

Nope. Nothing transfers, not the damage cards like stunned pilot, not the ept.

Just the pilot ability and th printed pilot skill on the ship card.

I can't think of any rules reason that anyone'd think the Pup spawns stressed if the Tooth is stressed. The Tooth doesn't turn into the Pup, it launches the Pup, a separate ship, and then blows up.

The Nashtah Pup is a separate ship that copies the pilot skill and pilot ability of the ship equipped with Hound's Tooth.
