Incom's Greatest Hits

By Magnus Grendel, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Just had a random idea of trying to put all three 'generations' of the X-wing in a single squad. You can easily afford to have the PS8 versions of each - but I could use some advice figuring out how to arm them.

Airen Cracken (19)

Luke Skywalker (28)

Poe Dameron (31)

For the kung fu panda, BB-8 and Push The Limit pairs well to further up the fighter's annoying manouvrability, and Autothrusters helps against turrets and swarms at range.

For luke, you can't go far wrong with R2-D2 and Integrated Astromech.

I'm less sure for Airen. You've got 11 points to play with, and Luke and Airen's elite talent, Airen's modification and missile slots, and torpedo slots for Poe and Luke.

I know Lone Wolf sees a lot of use on Luke, but if you're flying him with Airen to get free actions, you loose it - and I don't think Poe will want to nail himself to a (fairly unwieldy) z-95 for long.

I see Airen with cluster missiles quite often but I don't think it's a great plan here - there just aren't enough ships to need masses of free actions. Assault missiles might be nice for crowd control.

Airen Cracken (19)

Luke Skywalker (28)

R2-D2 (4)

Integrated Astromech (0)

Poe Dameron (31)

Push The Limit (3)

BB-8 (2)

Autothrusters (2)

Any thoughts?

I've actually done something similar, but it was more the evolution of the Rebel Space Superiority starfighter (Z-95, X-wing, E-Wing) since I don't have the updated X-Wing currently.

How about instead of Cracken, you run Blount with VI? That way you can give him an Adv. Homing Missile for the guaranteed crit. Then toss Lone Wolf on Luke since he's not tied to the Z.

Gives you 7 points to play with. Maybe Flechette torps on Luke/Poe and a Hull on Blount?
