Cloned on Kamino in batches, Clone Troopers were widely deployed during the conflict with the Separatist Alliance.
Troopers were deployed across the galaxy with almost no rest, as few recognized the Clones as anything other than a means to an end. As such, they were bred to be highly expendable and inexpensive to produce.
Every Clone Trooper was implanted with a biochip that was programmed with a number of very specific commands, each requiring absolute obedience.
In Canon, Order 66 spelled doom for the Jedi Order, despite being a key piece to the end of the Separatists. Having to deal with the Clone Troopers turned against them, the Jedi were unable to prevent the turn of Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side or Palpatine's control grab and transition to the title of 'Emperor'.
But what might have changed if the Clones Troopers had been able to resist the implants? Would the Jedi Order have been able to survive the war? Would Skywalker have slaughtered the Younglings or the leaders of the Separatists? Who would control the Galaxy?
51,000 light years away from the Core, Utapau orbits one sun and is itself orbited by nine moons. This gaseous planet is comprised of only 0.9% surface water. It sustains itself with a massive subterranean ocean. The ocean that once sat upon the surface fell into massive caverns below and has since eroded away many parts of the surface world.
At the bottom of this enormous quantity of water is the reason for the conflict on this planet; a trove of mineral deposits that is the planet's source of wealth.
Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi followed General Grievous of the Confederacy of Independent Systems to this planet and is currently in pursuit of him, hoping to put an end to the tyranny of this figurehead of the Separatists.
With Grievous on the run, Clone Troopers of the 501st Legion move in to begin securing Pau City.
Titus Syphex, a Jedi recently raised from Padawan, leads a small strike force. Their mission is to bring down the AA guns near the hangars to allow Low Altitude Assault Transport ships to move in, reinforce the area, and provide cover from Droids.
I'll be running a weekly session on Saturdays based around the above premise. First session, you will be provided with pre-generated characters, as it is supposed to be a prequel to the actual campaign.
I need players that will be available on Saturdays around 5pm Mountain Time (7pm Eastern) for two or more hours, depending on the pacing of the session.
You must also have a mic. Camera is not necessary.
Have a story-telling personality. Don't wait for me to give you suggestions for spending advantage, and don't make it so simple as 'recover strain'. "I take a moment, my back pressed against the wall, to catch my breath and refocus before coming back up to take my next shot."
Sessions will be recorded and posted.
Free Hat.
