Yeah, this situation is a little absurd!

So, I just got around to putting together my models from earlier in spring (I have had no luck in getting games together) and two of the models, one victory and one gladiator star destroyer both will not fit into the plastic keyhole shaped stand they are supposed to.

Currently sending an email to ffg help, just wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar issue, or knows of a simple fix?

That is weird. Pictures?

You sure you're not putting them on backwards or something? What's the actual problem?

I ran into that with my AF. I took a hobby knife and cut out the inside until it fit. There should be a noticeable deformity near the bulb.

Can't find a way to post pics on here, maybe I'm too new on the forums? Essentially;the plastic component that is attached on the ship (empty keyhole) is slightly too small to fit the plastic stand solid keyhole into. And this has happened both for my imperial and gladiator destroyers. I believe they were both purchased from the same launch wave from wave one.

Maybe I will try taking a knife to it. Or I'll contact one of the war hammer guys in town and see if they can give me a hand fixing it.

upload to imgur, dont even need to make an account. copy image url and click box or just even paste the url in and we can click on the link. (after I scan it to make sure it is legit though)

Hopefully that works to give you all some idea.

Had the same problem with my Gladiator. Had to shave the top of the stand with a hobby knife till it fit on, and even then just barely. I feel it's going to crack at any moment, it's so tight.

Hmmm looks like you could just file the inside down

Sometimes the key is a really tight fit, so the first time you do it you gotta go straight on (not at an angle) and push with a decent degree of strength. My gladiator refused to fit at first but i got it a minute or so later. Oddly enough my VSD had the opposite problem lol the socket part popped off and i didnt notice at first, so i thought it wasnt sitting in there very well. Glue'd that baby right back in.

The problem is the circle part of the keyhole stand on the glad is either too big, or the slot on the glad itself is too small, and it doesn't fit in properly.

The victory just won't go in any further, and I fear applying more pressure to make it fit will break part of the model :/

***edit:

After playing around with it, the keyhole slot on the victory was actually quite loose, so I was able to pull that off the model and m are it fit properly there.

The glad is still a problem. The keyhole is fixed in properly to that model and I have a fear of breaking it :/
