My group and I are starting to really buckle down and practice for Worlds, and we need to know what field to test against. How many people will actually be running 4x4, considering it's prohibitive monetary cost? How prominent is Rebel Blast? Are there any Dark Horse lists making their way through the internet that are worth worrying about?
TL;Dr: What will the meta be at Worlds?
The current Vader's Fist will be the most played list:
Vader
3x Officer
2x Roxal Guard
4x4 and Rebel Blast will come in 2nd and 3rd. Rebel Blast will include R2-D2 and C-3PO. Maybe some Troopers lists, maybe including Kayn or Weiss.

I agree with this... not to mention that Paul Heaver (2-time x-wing worlds champion) won nationals with a 4x4 list. Its worlds, there is no "cost prohibitive" if you're going to compete on that scale. Resourceful players I'm sure will borrow units/cards from their local players to make whatever list they want if they cannot afford it.
However, with more units being released before Worlds, I'd watch what happens with those wookie warriors. Hopefully the meta gets blown wide open like it has for X-Wing!
Don't underestimate or forget 2x elite stormies, 2 x RG, 3x Officer. It may not be as good as 4x4 but it's good
Will they play Ord Mantell, Moisture Farm and Kuat at worlds?
Unless they say otherwise sometime soon, I think we can expect those same maps at Worlds.
I myself plan to bring Boba Fett to worlds. I will find a list. Probably with a bunch of Rodians.
There was a post on Twitter about a month ago, where someone asked FFG Organized Play if the maps would change before worlds, they responded on September 3rd saying that they would and they would be released by early to mid October.

I think we will see some permutation of 4x4 that gives it a bit more firepower now that "token grab" missions have cycled out. 2x Elite E-Web, 2x Royal Guard and 4x Officers has most of the speed and survivability of 4x4 with the potential to lay down some serious firepower.
I expect 50% 4/4 or (All wheel drive as i call it) in the cut...rest will be rebel blast... as for me...i never lost a game with 4/4 even against wave 2 c3po+r2d2 lists with securing the room first turn on kuat data heist sheningans first turn ... if you play smart with 4/4 it is almost unbeatable...I also never lost in a mirror match....but matches are close... so I won a national, a regional and a GNK with that list (GNK was 3/3/2) that is 16:0...there is nothing in wave 3 that alters the meta...wookies are just too slow...and it is not a no brainer list...you really have to play smart... i mean a bad player with 4/4 will beat a player with an average list yes...
