Hi all!

I just got Arkham Horror and am playing thru my first game. The first question I have is this: the mythos card I drew is a headline that says 2 monsters appear in the French Hill streets. I place the monsters next to the inspector aleady there. End of turn. Now, do I leave those monsters there and he has to deal with them on his next movement phase or do they disappear at the end of the turn? I saw somewhere in the rules that unless a gate also appears with monsters they don't stay on the board. [i'll probably be able to start answering these simple rules questions myself after more play experience]

they stay and the inv has to fight or avoid them next turn. If a card puts out monsters they act just like normal monsters and stay and count towards limits unless the card says otherwise

After searching the rules I found that the mechanic of removing the monsters is with encounter cards. And since the monsters appeared from a mythos card in my situation, they remained. Thanks for the quick reply, it helped.
