So I've been wanting to bust out my f/o ties and really fancied flying along side some regular ties to see if I noted a difference. Epsilon leader was the only named f/o calling to me so if figured I'd see how much I could abuse his ability. In the end I opted for

I was a little concerned at having only 5 ties but figured stuff it its be fun in a friendly game. Ever an x-wing fan my opponent decided to run a 4 X list using the upcoming title. He ended up with;

4 x wings vs 5 ties seemed like I was doomed from the get go, but fate had a different story to tell
Rocks were mostly on my right so I set up off centre to the left in a 2 x 2 block
With howl facing in to turn behind. He set up three x's mostly opposite and tarn off to my left.
I turn everyone left then right catching tarn on the second round to strip his shields. After this the action economy without the stress combined with the 2 sloops ability to spread my arcs when needed rested in my crappy little ties jousting the crap out if his x-wings, wiping him For the loss of only mauler (who was a beast!)
Definately a fun little list to play and opened my Eyes to the potential of the mini elite tie swarm.
Great game and fantastically thematic! Just x wings and tie fighters kicking the crap outta each other!
Incidentally, the x-wing title is REALLY good. Like really really good
