OCTG2 plugin for AGOT LCG

By Gualdo, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

System catch default OCTG2 folders for decks and sets. If you changed default install path the program will explode and you have to clic on configuration tab and set both paths manually.

The program explode also if you don't have decks stored in the decks folder

I bet you wanted to show that amazing babe to us but didn't know how to do it hahahha

Thanks for all the hard work Gualdo. It's much appreciated! aplauso.gif

(just to join the chorus)

I'm clapping too.... though I will add a minor function request.

Any chance we could get a text export for decklists (including Cardset/Number)? I'm typing up a tourney report and I managed to convert my deck to .txt but I had to do some significant editing. A easily read text file would be a nice way for people to share their decklists here on the forums with those that don't play via OCTGN.

This is the first feature will be implemented... We are studying create template for each house and then export decks :-)

one week of patience :-)

Does anyone happen to have decks made with just the standard core decks? If not, I can make them, but wanted to check here first. I'm wanting to use them to introduce others to the game via OCTGN.

If so, let me know how best to get them (download site, email, etc.)

Thanks!

I don't believe anyone has started a repository of OCTGN deck files anywhere, so I suspect you just need to exchange them by e-mail or create them yourself. Assuming a google group or Facebook group gets started as some sort of "meeting place" to organize games, I would expect they'll be some sort of "library" like that. Kind of the ultimate in "net-decking." Good lucking getting started, and PM me if you're interested in a game sometime.

- OCTG2 House skin (Greyjoy, Stark, Martell)-

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HO08WWUP

simply downlaod the file linked above. Extract it and the house you want to have as background. Then go in "Manage installed games", click on the A Game of Thrones field in left screen, install new game, and overwrite. Don't worry, nor card set or decks will not be lost

Ps if you have some quality images for Targa, Bara and Lanni sent them to me to [email protected] so we can complete houses skins

Madd did you get those basic decks? If yes pleas send them to me [email protected]

I have made the 4 core set decks and can send them to you if you still need them.

Just send me a mail to [email protected] and I will replay with the decks.

Another small feature request:

Players' dead and discard piles are not secret, with the recursion available (I'm not saying I _hate_ the Street Waif), it would be nice if you didn't have to give control in order to look at your opponents' piles. If it's convenient and simple. Thank you.

tomorrow I will check if this is a small fix.

Gualdo, those House screens are amazing! Thanks yet again!

Luke, I checked and the visibility is already set to "everyone". The fact is that all object are "owned" by the owner player so it is necessary to "take control" before acting on them. Anyway you can take control of opponent discard pile very quickly so should not be a problem this. Furthermore all is logged so nothing i hided :-)

My mistake for not realizing I could take control. :) I don't worry about hiding, I just sometimes need to know what's in their before I make decisions.... or to easily check strength of Silent Sisters.

Also, what is the best way to "mill" cards from the top of your deck, for cards like Drowned Disciple. Use the "Look at X cards" from top of deck and move them to discard?

Luke, usually I'll just drag my top card to the table. You can drag it to the discard pile, but then your opponent has to click on your tab to see that, and if you happen to "misclick" you can send the card to the bottom of the discard pile by accident.

I will also typically drag the card just discarded for intrigue claim to the table just so my opponent can see it easily. Not totally necessary if someone is watching your hand/dead pile/discard pile screen (something I'm switching back and forth on constantly), but I do it to be courteous, I guess, more than anything.

Thanks for that, by the way. I was just confused on how things work, esp. since I'd never noticed my opponent's INT claim pop up on the table like yours did. :)

I act in the same way as longclaw :-)

Sorry, I thought I might try Lars trick and write in this thread to avoid showing me all General Discussion as unread.

Anyway, anybody tried to write to FFG about this bug?

I'm really new so will ya forgive my ignorance, eh?

First, I love Octgnit's simple and goodamazing work whoever is out there. ....Next:

My original decks are not fun because they suck and are not clever. I have played other card games where I thought I was clever, so it is painful to go to this. It's too much homework to start with. And I need help. I want shortcuts. A cheatsheet. I don't want to learn 400 cards sequencially, but in action, dynamically, without all the trial and error and my own lameness. So....

Do you guys know where AGoT standard decks are being discussed and displayed on a web, how new cards work with them, so that I can ideas in this fashion? I know there's got to be something out there. Maybe even somewhere on this site.

Please don't tell me I have to build everything on top of the core set. I've seen a spy/city/whatnot deck and it was not based on a core set deck.

Also, I imported a few decks manually with Octgn and it was painful, so painful. Especially since I don't know what cards are what decks. Maybe the Octgn people can create an easy way to import decks from a text filejust for me.

AND, if there is a resource where decks are posted up in the Octgn format so that I can import them quickly, quickly, well then that would be cool. REALLY cool.

Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for the response!

Yes, I've been there. Do you recommend any decks there? I looked at a few, but being an xtreme newbie, I did not realize that the decks I painstakingly converted to Octgn format were actually from other slightly less extreme newbies. I did learn some things therewhat not to do. And what not to do is to post a deck there when you're a newbie. Because it is not helping anyone. If there was a little article to explain how thought went into it... that would be great. I'm amazed and surprised the good deck builders aren't showing off their skills and jabbing away about their decks, the originality, creativity, and the thoughtfulness that went into it.

I am full of hope though!
