Also i noticed some errors in the database while searching cards. Like if searching for noble GJ, Euron is not found this way. Would you like to post here some of the bugs I find? Or you dont care?

I've been using OCTGN 3 to get my friends into the game. I've noticed that some cards are badly scanned, some are not in their straight positions as well.
Looking at the websites that provide support to this game ( http://cardgamedb.com/ as one of them) you'll see perfect scans of cards that can be saved and used in the sets for OCTGN.

So… what about we working this out as a team and update all the pics in those sets for these HQ pics on these websites?

FYI, the path to this pic is accessing the CardGameDB website, then you'll have the A Game of Thrones menu, a Deck box and an Eye -> click on the eye ( http://www.cardgamedb.com/index.php/GoTCards.html/ ), then you'll have the Spoilers. Just open one, and point the mouse over the name of a card -> the card pic will be shown on the right side of your screen -> RGT_BTN of your mouse and Show Image (or Copy Image Location) and voilá, nice size HQ pic of the card.

@oDESGOSTO I've already done that for all but the most recent sets. Hello sorry to post on this topic , but i can't access to my profil because i can't update my zipcode country (so i can't send mp too … too bad)

Some players made a mod for Cthulhu lcg for octgn3, with same restrictions like this mod (new cards are blanked for 6 month).

Long time ago, someone told me it was a suggestion from FFG, so players can use octgn+game of throne , so i asked to EDGE (french distributor) and they told me it was a lie and FFG aren't agree to use OCTGN freedly !

So now i'm very confused and i'd like to have some clues !

Can we talk as we want about octgn on ffg forum (it seams yes, but EDGE told me the opposite)

Can we use ffg forum to promote ffg's games : make topic to organize free online tournament and give us the opportunity to challenge lot of players (as you know, it's a pain to find cthlhu players, more than game of throne )

KrissS666, if FFG didn't allow us to use their games in OCTGN I guess this topic was erased several pages ago!

And this also works for several websites that use their cards and talk about the game.

The 6 months ban… well, I respect that, although I don't agree with it. You see other companies that produce CCGs just "giving" the card images for this type of tools, because they see that this is a way to incite the meta and boost the sales. For me, this prevents me for buying Chapter Packs as they come out, I'll just wait for the unban (I don't like to use external sites to look at card rules while playing) or if I really want to test that specific card I'll change it for one from those websites.

The 6 months is a way FFG thinks will channel players to buy their stuff instead of using this tool. That is correct to countries that have a strong meta but in countries like mine (Portugal) where the meta is about 8 players, I don't feel that urge to buy the new stuff. Although, if I would like a specific card and test it in OCTGN, I would have to buy it imediatly.

Yes, of course that seams clear and that why i'm so disappointed about Edge answer : FFG don't seams to be agree about OCTGN !
I asked for more information and real reason for this response.

As i said, i can't send mp on this forum, so i'm sorry to use this topic to know all restrictions ffg gave to accept this mod: it seams it was only the 6 month blanked time but i'd like to have all the informations to do the same for Cthulhu

Basically i'm agree with you about the blanked restriction.. it's why lot of players prefer to play with lackey, but if that means we can use FFG forum to promote online event, i'm in !

Well, not 100% about this but I guess this policy will serve for all FFG LCG games.

About Lackey, I don't know how they do in there, I only used it once to try the Warhammer: Invasion LCG. If they don't run the 6 months ban I guess they're plainly disrespecting the FFG policy on their contents.

But this is all a big "grey-area" issue… you can see cards being spoiled all over the internets, on websites that provide support to this game, and you can import those spoiled cards for your own modules and just play with them. I'm not telling everyone to do this but I'm saying that people just can develop and encourage this game on a level similar to other CCG's.
In my country, I'm the only one who talks about this game on forums and stores because this game is so less accessible than other CCGs that people even know the game exists, even with a TV series that could be a back-up for this game. We all see how other games like YGO and such survive due to visibility and policies of their companies in support of the game.

I dunno… this is just my opinion about it. I guess FFG could do so much about this game and take credit from it that sometimes it feels like lazyness from their part to do it. There are so many OOP Chapter Packs and so little FLGS support, I think they just want to play this game themselves…
