I flew this today and it went 3 and 1. I was super impressed by the tank/ dodge of the ships when engaging properly. I screwed up on the last game pretty bad and lost it due to poor positioning.

Just so you know: Stay on Target doesn't work that well on Tycho. He can only perform actions while stressed, not red maneuvers, so if you use SoT without clearing the stress you'll be giving your opponent your dial and watching your 29-point ship fly off the board or in front of [insert hard-hitting ace here]. And if you're clearing stress all the time to use SoT, what's the point in using Tycho?

For the initial setup it seems weird. However, I use it in emergency situations as needed to arc dodge. I know better than to do a double red.

But using SoT makes it a double red. It says TREAT THIS MANEUVER AS A RED MANEUVER

Not sure where your getting the double red from. the second maneuver is red not the first. I fail to see the double stress that would be accrued from this. Sans K-turns obviously.

Then you're spending 3 points on upgrades you'll be using at most every other turn. That feels rather inefficient, especially when PtL is ready and waiting.

Like DR4CO said earlier. If your clearing your stress then why use Tycho. You use Tyco because he doesn't have to clear stress to perform actions. However the stress prevents you for doing ANY red maneuver like using SoT. It's a combination that just doesn't make sense IMO.

this is true and one of the things I had to consider. I'll do a test run with PTL and see how that plays.
