dark heresy podcast

By number5811, in Dark Heresy

I was just wondering if anyone ever recorded one of their gaming sessions, either DH or the new shiny Rogue Trader. I don't think I've ever posted before but I've been trying to help out with my own game running chops by listening to other people do it. While there are lots of other games I can find, haven't been able to find one of DH or RT.

Not that I've found, but iTunes has at least one Rogue Trader podcast that is in it's infancy. Can't remember the name offhand.

When we play we tend to do so remotely over two locations with an audio link so it wouldn't be a huge step to record and post the audio as a podcast, and it's something we as a group had discussed. The question always was - would there be sufficient interest or was it just self indulgent?

Thanks for responding, i was actually surprised i thought his thread had gotten totally buried, in the mire somewhere.
I think people are interested in hearing other peoples games. I know i am, it always helps me run my games makes you think, and really the geek in me just enjoys listening to other people be geeks. It has helped me run games though.
Deadline will have to see about the rogue trader one on itunes. I'll have to go scour.

Nerd King I don't know if my vote is worth it but I'd listen. I'm always a little suprized at how many new 4th edition podcasts i can find but none about DH or Rogue Trader yet.

**edit out the shame of my spelling**

Given that my group plays over Ventrillo, it is an interesting concept. The sessions could be posted right along with the adventure logs.

However, a couple culprits in my group (yes, you know who I'm looking at!) can get pretty bad lag, and I think it might spoil the experience for anyone insane enough to listen in the first place.

So there's three episodes of the RT podcast and its title is Minions of the Monster Master, if anyone else is interested in geekery of its level.

Honestly I'd be down with listening to anyone playing RT or DH lag or not (depending how painful.) I'm pretty impressed at how many people use Vent and the like to game with. I've been lucky so far in my gaming career (it sounds niftier that way) to have friends i can actually sit at a table with and game. Although in my elder statesman years the gaming groups do seem to have gotten smaller ( i currently game with 2 guys.)

If anyone puts one up let me know. You'd at least have one subscriber...

heh

This is an interesting idea. I'll run it by my gaming group. I have a computer with some decent editing software, so it wouldn't be too hard.

I'm a huge sucker for "actual play" RPG podcasts. My iPod is full of them. I would LOVE for someone to post recordings of their Dark Heresy games.

I'm with Deadline i enjoy listening to them too. So if anyone goes through with it would love to see a post here for notification, and updates on the geekery!

I've started listening to the MoMM podcast, but to be honest after listening to the bradford players with the call of cthulhu live play podcasts it is difficult to compare. For a while now I have been kicking around the idea of a podcast dedicated to Dark Heresy (and now Rogue Trader) in the vein of the Order 66 for star wars or accidental survivors for D20 modern. Unfortunately time is always tight for me, and it always seems like those shows are better with a co-host. Would there be any interest in a podcast focused on the different aspects of Dark Heresy and Rogue trader?

Salcor,

I'm always interested in Role Podcasts. I personally think it would be nifty to see either or. DH appeals to me a little more than Rogue Trader because I like the idea of a mission based game. I have to work up a lot to the freedom of Rogue Trader and players having a ship although i think it might be (at times anyways) a more interesting game.

I'm enjoying MoMM then again i haven't listened to the CoC live podcast either. I enjoy hearing people play though. It captures some of those moments i get with my players that i look forward to in my weekly game, and its nice to have it on tap through itunes.
