Inquisitor's Tie Pilot card "Baron..."

By Plainsman, in X-Wing

I was just looking at the cards in the Inquisitors Tie pic and believe the one Pilot card says,"Baron of" something, as the "o" in of appears to be the SAME SIZE as the o in Baron! When we look at other Pilot cards the first letter of following words is LARGER such as first and last names. I cant find any other examples of a preposition in the name/title to confirm it tho!

Thoughts!

Baron of The Empire.

Baron of Speculation

Baron of the colour named red

Sorry , could'n resist :)

Seriously, not enough into EU to have any qualified idea.

The PS 4 or the PS 6?

The PS 4 is generic (no dot in front of name) so they're probably "Baron's Chosen" or something badass

They will be your ept generic for juke + tie/v1 shenanigans necessary to differentiate taps from FO

If its baron squadron pilot, I will sigh

It'll probably be Baron of the Empire, just as the PS2 is probably Sienar Test Pilot and the PS6 Valen Rudor. That, or minor variations on that.

The second word is definitely "of," the speculation has been it is the first two letters of a word and Im leaning towards it being the word "of" followed by more word(s.)

Baron of the empire?

Sounds real badass for a PS 4 :P

(Damnit bluefive!)

Remember that Black Sun Vigo is a PS3 Generic, and there's only about eight of them in the whole galaxy.

Who was the Imperial pilot in the "Empire Day" episode? He was going to fly the Advanced before our heroes blew it up. I remember he was named in the speech, but doesn't appear after the blast.

Baron Valen Rudor, he is the other named pilot.

I did some research today and am in agreement, I think it will be "Baron of the Empire."

Barron Fel?

Might be Baron of Lothal.

Barron Fel?

"of" follows "Baron" on the card.

Baron of Bologna.

My Baron has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R....

Baron Officer?

e: probably too short, meh

Baron oontir Fel.

I think that there's a typo in there somewhere.

The real question is who will bother flying any TIE Advil prototype pilot other than the inquisitor in the first place? Any 2 hull ship is nearly worthless nowadays anyhow.

Are Proton Bombs and/or Advanced Homing Missiles all that common anywhere? Can't say I've really seen many in my local meta or on Vassal.

I have, however, seen a number of effectively used generic Phantoms and A-Wings. And both Rebels and Scum both regularly field their Z-95s. If you were to instead say "Any two hull ship that's a Scyk or an E-Wing not called Corran Horn is nearly worthless", I might be inclined to agree. I'd also then point out that E'Tahn Abaht is a fantastic, yet overlooked, pilot, even the generic E-Wings are now high agility ships that can take the anti-TLT ruiner of worlds called "Sensor Jammer", and that more than a few clever players have even found uses for Scyks.

Agreed, Scyks and (generic) E-Wings are still near the "bottom of the barrel" when it comes to ships. But even they can be utilized effectively. Rest of the 2-hull ships, including the TIE Inq's apparent counterpart the A-Wing, can be downright terrifying when they're flown well. Zs are excellent swarmers, and the Phantom still has an unmatched 4 native attack.

Fun fact: I am actually going to give a Blackmoon Squadron Pilot a whirl soon. Initial tests have been... exciting.

I have enjoyed running a Blackmoon, R2-D6, PTL, EU.

A little too pricy to include in competitive lists, but if you have named pilots, this guy gets overlooked, and because of where his green maneuvers are, you should be able to often get at Range 1 and throw some dice at your opponents ships.

I can't remember what else I included with this guy. But it is a fun ship to fly, with its dial and action bar.
