Guri wants to get close fast so the decloak move lets her get into range 1 where she cant be shot at all that little bit faster.

you'll have other TLTs to worry about, so no worries (you'll get your worth out of thrusters; Stealth Device would likely just crap out on the first range 1 Y-wing primary <_< )

I suppose it depends on how the tlt's are flying in close formation or spread out.

So now we need an upgrade or pilot that cancels damage cards that are dealt from special cancelization instead of from dice.

Xizor, Sensor Jammer, Autothrusters, someone to fob the rare point of damage onto.

Practically immune to TLTs.

Xizors ability doesn't work against TLTs, better of doing Guri.

It does beg the question WHY Xizor's ability doesn't work against TLT's, though.

So if there's only one uncancelled hit from a TLT left, you SHOULD be able to pass it off to a friendly ship, which then takes the damage from the TLT attack instead of Xizor.

Not arguing that it doesn't work, just wondering why it doesn't work.

Honestly, it is just a ruling to prevent those really weird situations. In theory it works, but does nothing but add more damage that you take. Just easier this way.

Ze*-man pawns off an uncancelled die result

TLT cancels all dice if it hits (so if hits > opponent's evades after all mods) and deals 1 damage (note not a hit result).

It is just forum FUBAR (though, at this point with all the overhype TLT is getting, really more of a SNAFU) to suggest that Ze*-man just rolls over when he has 3 agility and thrusters, though

So your saying TLT gives a auto hit period? I do not read it that way. If you dodge three hits there can be no hit in my understanding. Rolling three dice twice is the big bonus of TLT, but it does not read as two auto hits.

You still have to hit me at least once with these double doom three red dice. I do see the point that Z-Mann would take the hit and not be able to pass it on... now, so that is cleared up. But what Alex and Paul meant was that getting a hit in the first place is not so easy... when firing at super dodgy ships, okay I got it now.

Xizor versus normal 3-dice:

HitHitHit versus EvadeEvade -blank- = 1 uncancelled Hit result --> Xizor can pawn off that one Hit and take 0 damage

Xizor versus TLT 3-dice:

HitHitHit versus EvadeEvade -blank- = 1 uncancelled Hit result --> TLT: "the defender suffers one damage. Then, cancel all dice results"

Xizor cannot pawn off one damage because it is not a die result

That's all

3 greens + thrusters != auto-hit by TLT

just don't use Xizor's ability against them (it's cheating; not the good scummy kind either :()

had a two games in the same tournament where I couldn't land 50% of TLTs against a B and then a shuttle, because it's a 50/50 toss up between HIT or HITHIT on unmodified dice and then the opponent's green dice decide to be real ******* generous

TLTs are lovely, but they are just as prone to miserable dice failure as anything else in the game. The only difference is that if a TLT gets some stupid dumb luck on their side, they won't one-shot you like stupid PWT would :)

Think of TLT as an AC turret... Sorta. AC guarantees two hit results but doesn't gaurantee damage. TLT allows two attacks but only gives damage if those attacks hit, one per attack, but it's a turret. Neither is autohit, but they do tend to reduce the randomness somewhat.

Well three naked dice give you 1.5 hits so it's a little worse than AC but it makes the defender roll twice so that's a greater chance for green dice to betray you.

Main advantage is the tlt has that 360 fire arc.

I've been having a lot of fun with Redline+Vessery (+dark curse). Turns out TLT spam lists don't like it when they remove a ship before they get to fire.

I really like Poe with shield for focus bot as well and autothursters vs TLT.

With a focus token and out of arc Poe is 80% to get two evades (i.e. anything but double eye or double blank). A lone wolf effect to reroll a blank makes it even higher.

Unmodified TLT is only 12.5% to get 3 hits.

Kavil with predator and TLT I hate seeing though as the extra dice and the reroll means he hits most of the time
