T-70 Ship and Squadron Builds

By xApolinar, in X-Wing

everything in the game is relative

Dash seems easy until you run into Fat Han <_<

and then you run into brobots

not advocating that brobots are easy (though I am advocating that Han is, relatively speaking) but considering that Dash is not at all favored when it comes to winning the dice off against them, you're going to tax every neuron trying not to get shot by those bastards

Both of you have HLCs (you do have HLC, right?), both of you have full mods, one of you don't get natural stress (ain't Dash), one of you gets 3 agility (ain't Dash), and one of you gets thrusters (ain't Dash), and one of you has a doughnut hole (now that's Dash)

not even getting into the high PS zippy arc-dodgers that stick to you like fly-paper

hell, in the hands of the right player, freaking Poe could be one of them :P (provided the wired red vet doesn't just double stress Dash's ass)

of all the figureheads of the 2-ship meta, Dash was easily one of the least offensive simply because you can actually outplay him. That puts him leagues above cherianeau and han, and right alongside double IGs (just below IG-88BFF --> best friend fett). Take him out for a spin, he's actually really fun to play (but then again I play him with 3 prototype pilots and sans EU, so I'm probably just crazy)

Blue Squadron Rookie with R2 Astromech and Integrated Astromech could be a solid 25-point buy. Effectively seven health, loaded with greens, plus Boost.

And Talon Roll... don't forget about that awesome maneuver!

Only thing I'm sad is that there is not 2 copy of Integrated Astromech in the T-70 expension pack. I'll have to borrow 1 or 2 if I want to try 4 T-70 with R2 and IA.

Do you also have the four Y-Wing expansion packs for the R2 Astromechs?.

Yup, 4 rebels Y-wing expensions in my collection, and I plan to also have 4 T-70 eventually. Only thing I don't know is gow many will come from the expension and how many from the core? I wanted to buy a second core to have a spare damage deck for when i introduce the game.

But anyway, the card will probably come with the X-Wing "fix" and I didn't planned to use 4 T-70 in a tournament, so I will probably just proxy in a casual game. Just a first world problem.

Stop putting PTL and bb-8 on Poe. You either end up not being able to barrel roll, or you don't use PTL to keep BB-8 open for the next turn, which makes both cards worth less

Poe wants VI, R5-P9, autothrusters, and a tech upgrade that doesn't suck.

The idea with BB-8 PTL is when you execute a green you barrel, PTL off the barrel roll action, then the green clears the stress. It's effectively stressless triple actions on a green maneuver.

Poe is only 5 points cheaper than an aggressor. Should that be troubling?

I really feel that R7-T1 has a hard time finding a home on Blue Ace (who I have named "Cerebus" XD). The action economy is nice and she does want to use her cool boost, but you're probably not going to be in a position to capitalize on the position you end up in.

BB-8 is a bit more interesting in that respect or possibly talent droid with Outmaneuver.
