My upcomming character is a Herglic Big Game Hunter/Trader. I would be glad if any of you could give me some feedback or thoughts on him....
His Background is that he grew up on a fishing and trading ship called the Herglese Harpoon. On a trading trip, the ship was swallowed by a legendary beast. My character killed it from the inside.
When the crew tried to sell the dead beast on the same planet, local authorities got angry, the mythical beast was holy, and the crew split up as they escaped the planet.
Obligation 1) Obsession: Monster Madness --> An urge to Hunt and Kill big, legendary, beasts (the more mythical, legendary or holy they are, the better).
Obligation 2) Addiction: Gambling on galactic gladiator games and other fights
Party members: Droid pro wrestler and his wookiee mechanic trainer.
Motivation 1) Discovery - The Lost: Find Lost Crew.
Sooo.. I am trying to find a second motivation that fits
Which one of these three should I choose?
Option A --> Discovery - Secret: Mythical Beasts. Are they real?... This one underlines my first Obligation and may have been triggered by my Backstory.
Option B --> Ambiton - Friendship: Beast Friend. Get a big pet or animal hunting companion... This is in contrast to my first Obligation and GM can set them up against eachother.
Option C --> Ambition - Freedom: Set free Big Beasts in captivity... So I can follow my first Obligation and hunt and kill them in the free. This also gives my character a sympathetic side, he doesn`t like animals living in captivity.
Could I just make them part of my Obligation instead? Should I change it up and make my first Obligation a Motivation?
