Funny things you hear after a game.

The one I hear quite often is "rebels have no counter to that" which always tickles me because rebels have so many ways to counter everything.

This week I took vessery and three basic tie advanced with AC, I faced a yv666 and two y-wings set up as warthogs.

By turn three the yv666 was dust and I'd lost a few shields, by turn six I'd wiped out his fleet 100-0.

First comment made was AC are too good and there's no good counter advanced using them.

So what do your mates say when taken by surprise?

Although the "rebels have no counter to that" comment is silly, the matchup here does looks slanted in your favor particularly if you had initiative. Four high agility, maneuverable ships versus three lumbering, low agility ships is an uphill battle. The TIE/A can just save focus or evade actions to defend because 2 hits will nearly always land on a YV-666 or Y-Wing. That's not to say it's your fault for your opponent's list but it certainly is an uphill battle in this particular match.

"I haven“t tested my squad before..."

Yeah, oookey sure... ;)

Yeah we both had lists we'd never used before with no idea what the other was using in advance so wasn't planned.

The idea came to me when someone said the fo was a match for vessery and I said three advanced worked just as well, so I put my money where my mouth is.
