Wow! I was just on the X wing forum for the first time. I was asking about starting up again after selling my collection? Wow, were some of them nasty (and some were very kind and helpful). It's good to be back.
A Return from the Darkness
Glad to have you back.
The X-Wing forums are like are red headed stepchild. . . We acknowledge them rarely. . . ^_~
You know we can all see the X-wing forums too.

I thought everyone in that thread was quite nice and helpful.

Idk about that first comment.
I am failing to see the point of this thread.

Fel's Wrath is a ship in X-wing that is objectively quite bad, some say the least useful pilot/ship in the game particularly with recent changes to when victory is calculated making Fel's Wrath an even worse ship to field if you intend to win. The pilot ability is to be removed from the table at the end of the turn rather than at the Pilot Skill step where it is destroyed.
The OP's forum name is "Felswrath". The poster was making a joke about the forum name being like the ship/pilot. The joke was funny and light hearted.

That was clearly a joke in regards to the TIE Interceptor pilot of the same name as the OP username.
I agree that the replies were nice, affable, and/or helpful. Maybe the OP is being ironic. Tone is hard to come by in type.

While there has been some bad behaviour on a couple of topics, for the most part the X-wing forum is pretty civilised, just like here.
Just like X-wing is still a great game, Armada coming along didn't change that. FFG just gave us a choice of two great games, **** them.

the one rule I have about the X-Wing forum is to never say anything detrimental about tournament play. That generally brings out the negativity and attacks from what I have seen over the years. I think they are more hardcore than 40k players sometimes.

The US (armada forums) vs THEM(x-wing forums) attitude of some people isn't much better.
That's been an issue for years in practically every game system I played in. One person's definition of fun is different from an other's. Where I always drew the line was when my local community played nothing but hardcore tournament lists in pickup games. Everyone was "practicing" for the next tourney. This is fine. It just wasn't how I wanted to play the game. I like throwing together random crap and rolling dice. The main issue is the lack of opponents willing to do the same. It's why I hadn't played Armada since July.
