3 Rebel Sullust Fleets - Pick Your Favorite

By SmurfWedge, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hi chaps

I've been posting a few lists for Sullust and unfortunately I don't have time to playtest them all.

I've narrowed it down to these 3....give me your verdict. Comments and critiques more than welcome.

REBEL FLEET 1 (298 Points)

1 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Garm Bel Iblis - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament - Intel Officer - Sensor Team (125)

2 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament - Intel Officer - Gunnery Team (102)

3 • Nebulon B Support Frigate - X17 Turbo Lasers - Salvation - Intel Officer (71)

4 • Objectives - Advanced Gunnery - Hyperspace Assault - Dangerous Ground (0)

REBEL FLEET 2 (300 Points)

1 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Garm Bel Iblis - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament (110)

2 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament - Gunnery Team (95)

3 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament - Gunnery Team (95)

4 • Objectives - Advanced Gunnery - Fire Lanes - Dangerous Ground (0)

REBEL FLEET 3 (300 Points)

1 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Garm Bel Iblis - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament - Gunnery Team - Expanded Hangar Bay - Adar Tallon (135)

2 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Advanced Projectors - Enhanced Armament - Intel Officer - Gunnery Team (102)

3 • B-Wing (14)

4 • B-Wing (14)

5 • Dutch (16)

6 • Wedge (19)

7 • Objectives - Advanced Gunnery - Hyperspace Assault - Dangerous Ground (0)

I really do like the Salvation, but despite that I prefer list 2. The three AF2 will fly together well, they're each tough to kill, and you'll get the best use out of Garm that way. An initiative bid would be nice, but don't see much space to take one. In which case the objectives look fine for that list if you get second player instead.

List 3 could be fun with those fighters, but loses out on an activation and funnels you towards using squadron commands.

I like 2 and 3 but it really depends on your play-style...for me I never play without squadrons so I would go with 3.

I also lean towards #3. My rough fleet for Sullust is similar:

AFmkII B w/ Garm, Adv Proj, Gun Team

AFmkII B w/ Adv Proj, Gun Team

Neb B Esc w/ Yavaris

A Wing

B Wing x2

Right now I'm debating on specific fighter payload, Neb version and possibly swapping out for Salvation, and possibly going with only 2 squads and changing the Frigates to A's for AA fire.

Ok enchanced arms give you a extra red dice. which means 4 red vs 3. However they get full use of their redirect and brace. Where if you swap out for x7 turbolasers. You lose one red dice per boardside. But then their redirect only transfer one point away. So let say the 1st ship fire with a cf dail and ea at medium range. So three red one blue. Then Ea adds another red and cf can add another red. Say the blue is a accuracy and out of the 5 red you get one double, two single and a miss. So four total points. On a vsd that accuracy is either used on the brace or one of the two redirects. So you target the brace. And he redirects 3 points to a side and loses one front. Next ship fire and get 4 dmg and a accuracy. You can target his unexhausted redirect or brace. Brace makes it two and give him one front shield left. Or redirect means no left or right shield and front down to one shield.

Now with x7. You only shooting 3 red plus a cf dice. So four red. Say you get three dmg and a accuracy. You target the brace. He lose one left shield and two front. Next ship fire and gets 3 dmg and one accuracy. Targeting brace again he can only redirect one point out of three. Which means 2 dmg to the front with one shield. So one hull dmg. Also both redirect exhausted.

Plus you have 9 more points to spend on upgrades or grab the initiative.

I'll share my list that I won first place with in my last tourny

Rebel Fleet (300)

1. Neb escort- mon mothma

2. Neb support- intel officer, x-17, salvation

3. corvette B- dodonas pride

4. Corvette A- Jiana Light

5. Wedge

6. Dutch

7. Tycho

Objectives opening salvo, hyperspace assault, dangerous territories

It works idk why but yes

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Seems the consensus is to either go with number 2 or 3

Ill give number 3 a try first I reckon as I only have 2 AF's so if I wanted to run number 2 I would have to purchase another one.

Point taken. sounds like a good option to swap out.
