300 Pt General Dodonna Lists Go!

Ideas for best utilizing Dodonna? Go!

I like Dodonna's Pride, and it seems best to use it on a CR90B to maximize your chance of getting blue crits. But it would be safer to stay at long range than having to get to medium. Or is just stay at speed 4 and make fly-by's?

Based on my experience the Pride will work fine, just fly it into the rear arcs of your target. That farmboy Luke also works well with Dodonna for the same reason. With the two of them and Dodonna Precision Strikes is a good objective, DP and Luke can place initial crits/hits then anything else can flip them.

Salvation/XI7s/Intel works well too, as you're getting the Salvations doubles on red crits, then using XI7/Intel to counter redirects and braces (particularly on Victorys) letting you punch through with those crits.

Here's a link to where I've been experimenting with Dodonna: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/188693-rebel-300pts-criticals-list/

From reading your thread. Do you think having 1 squadron (Luke) is worth the points? I get that it is one hit past the shields if he hits (75%), but with no one to protect him, if he gets jumped by a gaggle of TiE's... I was also looking at Leading Shots to help guaranteeing a blue crit for Dodonna's Pride, but Raymus could provide a reroll token if using Concentrate Fire order.

Currently I'm looking at the following:

[ REBEL FLEET (299 points)
1 • Assault Frigate Mark II A - General Dodonna - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers - Paragon (119)
2 • Nebulon-B Support Refit - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers - Salvation (71)
3 • Nebulon-B Support Refit - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers (64)
4 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Dodonna's Pride (45)
5 • Objectives - Precision Strike - Hyperspace Assault - Superior Positions (0)

[ REBEL FLEET (296 points)

1 • Assault Frigate Mark II A - General Dodonna - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers - Paragon (119)
2 • Nebulon-B Escort Frigate - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers - Salvation (77)
3 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Dodonna's Pride (45)
4 • Luke Skywalker X-wing Squadron (20)
5 • Wedge Antilles X-wing Squadron (19)
6 • Dutch'' Vander Y-wing Squadron (16)
7 • Objectives - Precision Strike - Hyperspace Assault - Superior Positions (0)

[ REBEL FLEET (297 points)

1 • Assault Frigate Mark II A - General Dodonna - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers - Paragon (119)
2 • Nebulon-B Escort Frigate - Intel Officer - XI7 Turbolasers - Salvation (77)
3 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Raymus Antilles - Dodonna's Pride (52)
4 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Overload Pulse - Jaina's Light (49)
5 • Objectives - Precision Strike - Hyperspace Assault - Dangerous Territory (0)

Haven't run into many squadron-heavy builds so far. If I did I'd likely let them chase Luke for a couple turns, then park him on an obstacle for extra protection. If he can keep 3+ squads of TIEs busy then he's locked down more points than he cost, and he's got a fair chance of taking a few with him while keeping them from chipping away at my capital ships. The ability to go through shields has helped me out too many times (mostly when the opponent plays Opening Salvo and I'm looking to spread out some damage cards).

Leading Shots I have tried on the Pride, only got the chance to use it the once and it still failed to get a crit. It's a good card to have if you've got the points for it though, any extra chance at that crit will help.

I like what all three of your lists are bringing. Plenty of XI7/Intel to punch through shields and help land those crits. Precision Strikes is great in all three. Not sure how you planned on using Hyperspace Assault. I like it in all 3 lists, but for different reasons. In list 1 you probably want both your Neb-Bs to deploy and move forward firing so would probably hyperspace in Pride to avoid the need to flank. However in lists 2 and 3 I'd be leaning towards setting the Salvation as the hyperspace ship. It can show up fairly early, use its red dice to stay in range, and can be coming into the rear/flank to keep your opponent from reaching it's vulnerable sides.

I'd think about taking dangerous territory as well, it combos pretty well with dodannas if you place the asteroids closer to his side, and gives you alot of freedom with movement.

Im going to try them all out today. I've tried parts of them in other lists, so time to see if I like what I got. Only one week away. I don't feel ready at all.

Hello, went 7-3, 5-5 and 8-2 in Spanish nationals for the 3rd place. Fleet was Dondonna in AFIIB with adv. projector, AFIIB with adv projector, Logistics Nebulon with Salvation, 4Bwings and 1 Ywing.

Las game against Motti Viv, Vic, Demolisher the b wings scored a crit on a vic, the last of the four was reduce to speed by one so I stuck it at 0 and blasted it last turn.
