My guess:
Might be a mod that large ships scared of conner net would take. Meaning they don't take engine upgrade. That'd be a win.

Oh, THAT's a good call.
I was suspicious about it being ion-only because that's far too situational.
its definitely not a modification as it would say that just below Baffle. presumably an EPT

Most likely a System.

Could be Illicit. It doesn't seem to match the fluff that a talent would suggest.
It's also right next to the cloaking device, which is an Illicit upgrade.
I'm on the same page as PaulTiberius. That's GOT to be what is says.
And ya... As long as Hera has same difficulty maneuvers that go opposite directions... That's a REALLY, REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY powerful pilot ability. Especially considering what ship she's flying.

The consistency makes me want to say System, that and I kind of doubt Adapt-whatever is a system since they don't usually double those in small expansions.

Looking at the Wave 8 picture for the Mist Hunter, I'm leaning more towards system now. An illicit is already highlighted in the bottom row, and it's not very likely they'd split up cards of the same upgrade slot.

The letters line up just about right. I didn't try to think of anything else that would fit there and still align vertically as shown. A tractor beam token might make sense, but I can't see how the characters would fit.
One more thing:
It seems like Acadamy ties would be the best to use with the Gozanti because of their low initiative (pilot skill).
Using das zooms on the cards it looks like Gozanti has a pilot skill of 2:
Thus, while you would be able to use an undocking (deployment) maneuver and an action as per the undocking rules found here: http://xwing-miniatures.wikia.com/wiki/Deployyou would not be able to attack afterwards with anything higher than 2 initiative.
Since acadamy ties are initiative 1 they should be able to shoot after undocking.
Why would it require PS 1 to shoot? Movement occurs during the Activation phase, so even with having to wait for the Huge Ship activation phase, they should be in the play area prior to the Combat phase. At that point, the Combat phase says ships gets to attack in order from highest pilot skill to lowest. How would they get stopped from shooting if they have a higher pilot skill than 1?
Is there some rule I'm missing here?

I think the only relevant rule is the Docking language stated in the new FAQ. In the situation where a mothership gets destroyed with little docklings (haha, I just made that up) still attached, the docked ships must immediately deploy and cannot attack during that current combat phase.

the docklings also take a damage if theyre docked when momma duck is destroyed.
Oh they could be PS 9 and shoot first, the real advantage is the suprise from moving. if deployed right they could be Ps1 and it'd still be fine.. Ps9 still shoot first. So yeah, deploying soontir right up someones rear end and rangeone-ing him would work fine.
Backstabber and Mauler get a huge boost from this.
If wave 8 is coming in November shouldn't we start seeing more previews soon? There are 7 expansions and 9 ships! We're behind schedule!
Unless it is late November.
Someone in our FB group took a picture of the page, you can see some of the text of Electronic Baffle but it's not a great picture.
link to your fb group?
It's in my signature. The NS group.
Hera's ability seems sweet. I always liked stay on target.

Yep. Basically deploying at Epic PS2 (which is after even VI Vader has already moved), and and will know exactly what speed and bearing to use to get your shot. The only downside is they won't know what the other Epic ships are doing.
We don't know for certain that they can't attack immediately following deployment, do we? I know that's the Nashtah Pup rule but like Alex Davy said in the most recent S&V podcast, that's kind of an emergency situation. Deploying the TIEs follows the Gozanti performing a manoeuvre and both TIEs get full dial choice yes?
I think the evidence leans heavily towards they can. What Alex Davy said in the podcast, Nashtah Pup specifying it, the autodeployment on death rules in the new FAQ specifing in that situation that you can't...
4 new tie aces.. wonder what they can do??

Well, we've seen the one so far.

But... The emperor asks the imposible!... We need more men!

Yeah they come locked, loaded and ready to go says Alex Davy just this week. Dat S&V interview was full of WIN!
TIE's can attack as soon as they deploy from Gon-Gon-Zillah!.

It's a good time for No Shields, All Guts.

If it's a sensor upgrade, it would be amazing on the Lambda. And if it's a sensor upgrade any ship can take, it would be phenomenal on the B-Wing or interesting on an R5-P9 equipped Corran.
I like it as a sensor slot for any ship, because the "permanent damage for temporary power" thing makes it self limiting. You do _not_ want to use it every turn. Unless- like BroBot A- you have a way to regen shields.
In before angry posts about people complaining that they need to purchase 2 additional TIEs.
I'm more annoyed that, like with the Raider, I'll have to go to eBay to get the new TIE pilots without the Gozanti.
Also, I want to replace my 4 old TIE models with these, because they are that blue-gray that so sweetly matches everything else(already replaced all my Advanced models with ones from the Raider).
