Game Trade Magazine #188 has X-Wing as the cover story, and has a long article about Wave 8 and the Gozanti. The text of the article is available on their website here:

Unfortunately, it is mostly a rehash of what we already know. The only truly new thing we learn from the text is that one of the upgrade cards in the Mist Hunter is called Electronic Baffle.

Online, the article just reuses FFG's announcement article pictures, so we don't really get anything new from that. However, my experience has been that the physical magazine tends to have a few more pictures in it, usually with some card spoilers. Pictures from GTM were where we got our first spoilers of the Advanced Cloaking Device, the Raider ship cards, and a few other things throughout the history of this game.

It appears GTM 188 is on shelves. Has anyone picked it up yet? Does it have any new pictures?

Thanks to Kdubb who found the picture! It looks like Electronic Baffle has an effect that might let you take damage instead of ion tokens.

Perhaps they're not planning on fully spoiling everything months prior to releasing the content, so it feels stale by the time everyone actually gets it. Who knows, this might feel NEW when it comes out!

The Gozanti is at the printer. Given past timelines, I could see getting it by the end of the year. Wave 8 seems pretty unlikely for 2015 unless they move at an unprecedented rate.

yeah, I'm having a hard time imagining people who don't have 2 at this point. Even with the new core, we don't yet know whether the Gozanti is locked to TIE/Ln only.

Getting 2 Gozers ANYWAY just because i can fit 2 into epic, the 4 blue ties is nice though.

We also don't know what the time-frame was for Ep7 Core from design to printer to shipping to store. They've stated that they were able to publish that product faster than previous product, so that might be saying something.

Inbefore I decide to purchase 4 ties to custom paint with squadron markings.

Forget Fighters. I am loading the Gozanti with Interceptors.

Ohh I've considered both interceptors and bombers, both very legit. Bombers may be even better if they are loaded right, i mean they can't attack after deploy but they can set up TL's etc.

We don't know for certain that they can't attack immediately following deployment, do we? I know that's the Nashtah Pup rule but like Alex Davy said in the most recent S&V podcast, that's kind of an emergency situation. Deploying the TIEs follows the Gozanti performing a manoeuvre and both TIEs get full dial choice yes?
