If a destroyed ship is treated as if it were still alive, then it can do everything it could normally do until the reset phase, when it is removed. The wording seems quite straightforward to me.

I understand what you are saying. We'll see how it actually shakes out. This wouldn't be the first time that the wording is... Suboptimal.

What happens when the ship Rieekan is on is destroyed? Does Rieekan extends his own life to the status phase? Or is Rieekan destroyed before he is triggered? I'd say Rieekception!
