2-Ace Lists. Who do you reach for in this meta?

I like Vader. I like Fel. I like Jax, redline, whisper, echo. I also like Turr, Juno and Maarek.

I usually run them with either a doom shuttle or an Emperor Ion Projector Shuttle.

The phantoms really need Sensor jammer to hang around TLT's, so their usual lists and loadouts don't really work. With SJ though they are extremely effective TLT counters. Even the generics aren't a bad pickup.

Who do the rest of you reach for when you start making a 2-ace list? Not necessarily 2-ship lists, just lists with 2 high-PS aces.

And i can say: even 2 tlts eat dash for breakfast. With agromech to ensure those hits you eat dash within 2 turns.

And i can say: even 2 tlts eat dash for breakfast. With agromech to ensure those hits you eat dash within 2 turns.

Then your opponent doesn't know how to play Dash. Getting an obstacle in between for an extra defense die coupled with R2 crew and Lone Wolf help him survive. Anti Pursuit Lasers allow him to block and give damage while no one shoots if in range 1.

Miranda goes down quick to TLT but while she is focused on, Dash's HLC wrecks the TLT Ys.

I'd say the TLT spam list is favoured but it's not as guaranteed as you believe.

It might be time to start switching to Mangler cannons for Dash. Right now he can't help but play into the TLT-wings' hands; he could use a way to punish bubbles (Good Lord, the irony...), and with large-base boost and barrel roll he's probably in a better position to do it than some.

For Rebels, I like Dash/Corran.

For Imperials, it's Chiraneau/Fel.

For Scum, I haven't found a 2-ship list I like yet.

Of course, there are a lot of new toys I just got or don'e have yet that may change my mind. Not to mention there are a ton of other viable 2-ship options already.

My filler was Boba, so he added some range 1 pain too:P

APLs are useless vs tlt cause they wanna keep some space too.

I like the idea of PTL,EU dash with Mangler. He can exploit donut pretty bad (irony indeed:D)

As for 2 ship scums Firespay+YV666 is pretty solid.

Mangler cannon just for the range 1 shot will screw his game against literally everyone else

you need those 4 dice for Han/Soontir/Whisper/aggressors etc

besides, Dash will brutally murder TLT ships. If the player running him isn't terribly used to Dash, however, then trundling into range of every TLT at once won't be a super great experience. Good thing Dash ignores obstacles and Y-wings don't :)

Miranda. Miranda Miranda Miranda.

I might have a problem.

But she is unreal. She's my absolute favourite pilot now. I enjoy playing anything but basically any Rebel list I'm running from now until Wave VIII is going to have Miranda Doni in it. I don't like loading her up too much, it turns out, and I also really don't like Threepio on her, but a Twin Laser Turret and R2-D2 crew and she's good to go. She can handle plenty of different ships all on her own but I'm really looking for the right accompaniment; I don't think a single other pilot is going to cut it because then it's far too easy to have your opponent focus fire. SLAM is amazing, but if you get bumped by a Swarm you're still dead in the water.

The only 2 ace lists I have played are the pre-nerf 86 double phantom list, and the post-nerf 79 point Whisper Soontir list.I like those two aces best because they're the most survivable ones and can best stand to be flown with nothing else. I like gimmick lists and that's really the only way to get me to play power squads. That, or if the power squads are built around generics in which case I love playing swarms or BBBBZ or quad TLT.

If you consider R7 Tarn Mison an ace, I like to fly him a lot. Been eyeballing Wedge a lot as I have his beautiful promo card, but he's just so expensive and fragile and since the Integrated Astromech card has been spoiled, it really feels sub-optimal to play him before that card comes out.

This has the tanky health to shrug off the TLT swarm long enough that it's firepower to will pop off two and make it more manageable. Boba gets right in the face of whomever your target is while bossk skirts the edge with a large firing arc, landing honestly heart breaking damage with a HLC capable of landing a crit through Calculation. Greedo is just for fun but easy enough switch to Dampeners on Boba

I've only flown this once, but I loved it! Against a rebel control list, I made a huge mistake and put Echo in a bad spot, taking 3 shots. Between Lone wolf, jammer, double focus, and palpatine, she took 0 damage, and avoided the dreaded ion tokens and stress from flechette cannons.

The palpmobile was such a huge target that Marek got more use than he normally might. He very easily got behind and into range 1.

It's one of the most fun squads I've flown in a while.

I agree, but Phantoms hit so much harder with the FCS. I am torn between which upgrade to take what with me seeing more TLTs in my local meta.
