300 pt rebel sullust

By nuke556, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I put together a list for next weekend and came up with one that's 2 points too high. Wanted to get some opinions on what to cut.

Mk2b 120

Garm, enhanced armament, gunnery team, advanced projectors

Neb support 71

Salvation, XI7 turbolasers, Intel officer

Neb escort 69

Raymus, yavaris

Bwings x3. 42

Opening salvo, hyperspace assault, minefields

I might have one day to play before the event.. My 2 ideas are drop raymus for a vet captain, not a great idea as I'll have squadron tokens for 3 activations instead of all of them. The other idea is dropping a bwing for a ywing or awing OR dropping 2 bwings for 2 xwings. Any advice?

Limited as my useful feedback is, I like the sound of dropping a B for an A which should solve your points problem outright. Their movement of approximately THE RANGE RULER is too great for getting them where they need to be to keep stupid TIE's and their stupid OP named pilots off your B-wings' asses. Dropping 2 B's for 2 X's, yielding escort and thus presenting ANOTHER way to protect that B, is also viable imho. Though IIRC if they fly close, they can still ENGAGE and thus prevent your B from moving, they simply can't ATTACK it until all nearby ships with escort are gone.

Hope this helped (somewhat).

But... But... Delicious B-Wing Bombing Walls...

I'd try exchanging the EAs for X17s on the AF2. Though you through less dice, I believe that on average it will yield more damage on the facing you're targeting.
