APPropriate Question

By Lilikin, in X-Wing

Found a new mini's group a while back and have been playing Dreadball with them.

Anyway, last night I bought my X Wing to town and we played a massive game of epic, (it was just to get everyone into it rather than teach the rules in an effective way.)

it ended with a slight imperial win as they managed to bag a lot of the more expensive rebel ships but there was no skill too it with basically a massive car park in the middle for a few turns, as I was telling people the rules and not playing.

Anyway three hours later various shops around the UK had (or are about to have) four orders for the two types of core sets, mainly due to the Raider vs CR90 circling around the outside of the map sniping at the fighters and each other (very badly).

Anyway here is my question, a few of the guys have i devices and I don't could anyone tell me the name of apple apps that lets people build squads, so I can get them to get themselves ready next week etc?

cheers

It's not an app, but I use it on mobile: https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/

Once you have the page loaded, it doesn't need to talk to the server any more, so you can use it even if you drop connection. It has collection support, squad saving, permalinks for sharing with friends, full card text, recently spoiled content, pretty print mode for bringing to game night, etc. Give it a shot.

Dunno about outright squad builder apps from App Store (there is an x-wing news app called "x-winger" that I believe has future thoughts for a squad builder but as is, it's only a news app). I do however use online list builders. Here's the two I have used;

And an android one (never used it myself as have wife's old iPhone...):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=es.eko.squadronbuilder&hl=en_GB

I've used the top iPhone one the most but whilst it works great on laptop/iPad it can have navigational issues on the (my) iPhone, not scrolling correctly, not selecting upgrade choices correctly, which can be right annoying...)

Well done on your pied piper work btw

Thank you guys

I use that android one myself as well a few of the sound boards awesome

looking forward to getting some real games in with them

I feel the OP should be PUNished for that thread title

Battlescribe is good because it supports a whole range of games and the guys doing data files keep things up to date.
