Rules question to make sure I'm reading this right.

What if...​ your opponent activates first and destroys your ship.

You declare General Rieekan's ability, so it stays in play for the rest of the round.

When that "dead" ship later activates, it reveals an Engineering Command and repairs itself back to 1 or more Hull Points.

So... is it still ultimately destroyed in the Status Phase?​ Or can a timely Engineering Command save itself after-the-fact?

Because if it can later save itself... Tantive IV+Princess Leia is going to be an awesome hospital ship lol.

On the right track.

The ship is destroyed immediately upon receiving the final damage card in accordance with the RRG. Rieekan doesn't even activate until the "destroyed" status is met.

Now, the ship, still destroyed, is NOT removed from the board and is treated AS IF it were not destroyed until the end of the status phase.

It's still destroyed the whole time, and removing damage cards doesn't change that. There is no condition you can meet in the Armada rules as they exist that can remove the destroyed status. (Including the removal of damage cards to below the hull value)

EDIT: Foreseeing this confusion, I've already emailed FFG for a clarification, though I feel it's pretty clear that ship necromancy isn't possible.

Wording leads me to believe you can't repair a ship back to life. Or you could, but it still dies at the end of the Status Phase.

If Rieekan triggered, then your ship has been destroyed. He only changes when you remove it from play.
