That, and with the Scout, you can also play the Long Range Game, and have Black Die Short Range Insurance Kill-Zone.
MC30
The ship feels like it's a tad too expensive for my tastes.
I'm currently preferring APT to ACM. APT is 2 points cheaper, and whilst it only does 1 extra damage rather than 2, that extra damage is a crit that ignores shields. Just imagine this with General Dodonna: Oops, I seem to have placed a crit on your otherwise pristine ISD. Oh look, your shields have just failed ![]()
What about AFMk2s for those Turbolaser Reroute Circuits as well? You trim a few points that were possibly spent in Enhanced Armaments and free up your ability to take a different Modification trait as more of those are released. I think I like where this is going specifically in an Ackbar fleet. I'm a big fan of more options.
This is painful for me, as I love the Nebulon-B. Before we all got our hands on the core I wanted it to be the ship so, so badly... But in the broadside, no-squadron/squadron light manner in which I play, they are going to be hanging out in the foam. I'll have a party on the day that I get the lil guys back on the table regularly.
helps to lop off as many points as possible and just fly raymus + title. Raymus makes the thing far more reliable and gets it the **** out of dodge
if you need to navigate Nebs alongside fatties your go to commander should be garm. Navigate tokens help orientate the two exceptionally well, especially with the Neb's dead sexy speed 3 chart
no squadrons, though...yeah just get the shrimp. The shrimp is the layman's solution to roping nebs and b-wings onto the same base ![]()

Aww, its not as good as I was hoping ![]()
Too expensive to put on a corvette, who would like this the most.
Does anyone else think that the Torpedo Frigate is the ship that H9 turbo lasers were made for? Guaranteed accuracy to support your 2-4 re-rolling (with ordnance experts) black dice, per attack? Seems like an auto-include, for me!
Its a point more than ECM?
I was **** close. 1 point low for the Scout Frigate and 2 points low for the Torpedo Frigate.
Did anyone notice that the Torpedo Frigate can have a Turbolaser upgrade? This means you can have Akbar and Enhanced Armaments to get the same attack dice as an ISD 1

Akbar with the Scout frigates, though...ouch

Since when you can use 2 defense token of the same type at the same time? FFG really need to keep in check their article publisher... I think there are huge rule errors in every X-Wing and Armada articles since couple months.

oh boy
that's an eye ctching point cost
Its a very interesting parallel to the Gladiator...
A shrimp with EA is a few points more than a Victory-I, but it has Victory-I Noses for its Broadsides... Both in Shields and Damage... While it sprints at Speed 4...

Interesting that mine is about the same costs as a Victory to get ISD dice, and yours is almost the cost of an ISD, to get ISD dice.
I'll need more time to soak this in, but I'm kinda meh on the Rebel vessels this wave.
Yeah, more time to let it soak.
Man. The MC30 and the Raider are the real winners of Wave II in my humble opinion.
My current concept is:
MC30c Scout Frigate 69
Foresight 8
Gunnery Team 7
Heavy Turbolasers 6
Total 90 (5 less than my standard Space Whale)
I think the top ship is the MC30. That maneuver chart is a bit harsh but it is what we wanted right? Speed 4 with only 2 total clicks. . . Ouch, but still this thing is a MONSTER. Keep the MC80 with Akbar alive and flank it with this till you need it. . . And it gets gunnery teams. . . WOW. . .Man. The MC30 and the Raider are the real winners of Wave II in my humble opinion.

You really think you're going to get shots at 2 different ships at close range with that maneuver chart? Just put on Ordinance Experts and go for the 2xArc.
Thought you put Torpedo Frigate. MAH BAD

Not neccessarily close range... Its a Broadside Red-Dice thrower with Ackbar. The Black Dice is just gravy
Question for people really happy with Assault Proton Torpedoes:
How many times have you used Black Dice in an attack, and -not- gotten through Shields? I know it happens, but for me, its rare.
For me, they seem to be 5 Points of Anti-Contain Token Insurance, and I'm not that impressed.
First off that cards is added out of thin air. So I roll 4 hits and activate apt (advanced proton torps) and add 1 UN avoidable crit(for 5 total or 3 after brace). Will be great against say an mc80 with 15 shields. For example

My big question for the Torpedo Frigate's viability, and also Rieekan is related to points scoring in tourneys. Yeah you can trade a 63+ Frigate for a 120+ ISD, but unless you smoke the rest of his list, you probably just gave up a 10-0.
Committing ships to guaranteed Mutually Assured Destruction would be nice if we used a Win-Draw-Lose/2-1-0 scoring system or something like that, but we don't. Rieekan's going to give us a lot of matches where you win the battle but still lose the war.
Does anyone know of a particular battlescribe file out there that has been updated with our current spoilers / will be updated with the MC30 article spoilers? I have the ISD available, but I would love to start tinkering with the other three ships on the go as well.

They are not saying you use two evade tokens they are graphically explaining the Foresight title card that allows you to cancel two dice with one Evade token.

And in doing so, are showing how you can cancel four dice with two tokens... Which we know you can't do, because of the doubled Tokens.

Unless you use him to resurrect ships with engineering commands....the legendary zombie list? Spam all engineering, all the time. ![]()
