Am I seeing that right that the torpedo frigate has a laser upgrade slot and not an ion slot?

That is what it looks like, yes. It goes even to far as to say they share the same upgrade bar.

Assault proton torpedoes is insane, even better than ACM (imo) for even fewer points. Only one extra point of damage but it goes right through to the hull and it's faceup.

Cool ship. I can see a lot of these exploding until people get used to them though....horrifyingly fragile if they want their black dice in play, especially for their moderately high points cost.

Not especially agile either, more of a straight line sprinter. Should be a ton of fun to play with.

Its a very interesting parallel to the Gladiator...

A shrimp with EA is a few points more than a Victory-I, but it has Victory-I Noses for its Broadsides... Both in Shields and Damage... While it sprints at Speed 4...

The torpedo frigate can equip enhanced armaments in order to access Akbars red dice at long range.

can't imagine running it on a Shrimp (**** scout is 69 points, surpassing afmk2s the moment you slap an upgrade on) for 76 points, but what about some 51 point vetts? scary prospect

well, you could run this on Imperial Ships (Hellooooooo Needa) for long range fun times

works with salvation in lieu of Raymus, so if you're rocking that Garm...

probably the only upgrade you need to run on a shrimp; ****'s insane and almost does Advanced Projector's job for you and then some

Yes, the assault proton torps were the first thing to catch my eye. Demolishers are going to love those.

So tempting to load this baby up with Expanded Launchers, Admonition, Lando, and Ordnance Experts. Then run around at speed 3 double-arcing ships.

That's 11 blue/black (with CF) dice, in a survivable package (if only for one turn). Add in Rieekan and you can probably get two alpha strikes in, at least...

Pricey as all get-out, but could be lots of FUN!

Also who wants to make a list spamming engine tech cr90s with reiken and then double ram everything even after you die?

I think it's a trap (heh) loading these up. Keep it simple, because anything heavily upgraded is going to get focused and killed almost trivially.

Man. The MC30 and the Raider are the real winners of Wave II in my humble opinion.
