Mystery Characters in Rebels

By Crabbok, in X-Wing Off-Topic

So I've heard taht Dave Filioni has said that there would be a significant mystery character show up during season 2 of Rebels. One website pondered if they were going to bring in Starkiller and make him canon, considering that Sam Witwer is involved and is voicing the Emperor.

As much as I woudl love to see Starkiller, I'm going to predict that they bring in a young Wedge Antilles. Wedge mentions that he was recruited by Fulcrum, so it stands to reason that he coudl show up in Rebels this season. However... if they do that, would it really be a secret mystery character? Considering we already know that fulcrum recruited him?

Sarah Michelle Gellar as Mara Jade?(mehopes).

Also expecting the green skinned girl from Rebels to be a baddie, but we'll see.

Hera is the green skinned Twilek. There's no way she'll be a baddie.

Did you mean a green skinned girl from Clone Wars? Barriss?

Bananoffee, that's the one!

Seriously, Mara Jade would be FANTASTIC in Rebels, my only thing is that she'd be just a bit younger than Ezra...

Some people think Bariss is the new Inquisitor.

This Mystery Character will unlikely be any Legends character. Mara Jade would be cool to have reimagined for the show, but can you imagine all the bitching people would do? Some people can't be happy no matter what.

I think I saw in a video preview for season 2 there is some new Bounty Hunter lady as well.

So this Mystery Character will either be the new Inquisitor Lady or this new Bounty Hunter Lady.

I will be very surprised if we get a character from Legends. (And if we did I hope to the Force it's not Starkiller.)

There's a good chance for starkiller. Mads Mikkelsen kind of screwed up and signed a fan poster 'Galen' for Rogue one.

And Galen has existed as a name in Star Wars before Starkiller.

Just as Starkiller has been a name since before Star Wars came out. Starkiller base in The Force Awakens doesn't mean it has anything to do with The Force Unleashed.

Madds signing Galen doesn't mean anything. And I'm sure if we were going to get Starkiller in a movie, they'd cast Witwer.

The Force Unleashed is dead and I hope it stays that way. Game was mostly fun, the story was atrocious. In my opinion.

Starkiller goes back to original concepts for Star Wars. Deak Starkiller was the original protagonist. Galen Marek was inspired by that originl concept, and in The Force Unleashed, even had a "Deak Starkiller" costume, which looks like scuba gear.

As for the story with Force Unleashed, it doesn't matter. IF they re-introduce Galen Marek, it would be with a new story, so nobody has to worry about their preconceived notions of the Force Unleashed's story. Also, in terms of his relative power level, nobody has to worry about that. His power was scaled up to be crazy for the game - there's no way we are going to see some kid pulling star destroyers out of the sky while still someone's apprentice.

IF we see Starkiller he'll have an all new story and his power level will be scaled down to be appropriate. Maybe it'll be a version of Galen Marek if Vader never found him? Maybe his father was still killed at Kashyyk, so he grew up knowing little of the force. Maybe he stumbles upon Ventress, who is now indifferent, so she teaches him a "grey" version of the force, just enough for him to be interesting, but not enough to eclipse "Jedi" levels.

I don't think Ventress will be finding anyone...

Yeah, Mads Mikelson is hardly someone I would call a good choice to portray Starkiller.

Just leave Maul's fate a mystery please. Bringing him back from the dead was bad enough continuing to shove him down our throats won't help.
