It's easy to say star wars themes on repeat for x-wing, but myself I like to vary it. I really like spacy songs - Bruce Dickinson's Navigate the Seas of the Sun is a personal favourite, as is Yes - The ladder (homeworld fans will recognize this).

The top gun anthem and Highway to the Danger zone get played a lot by me too.

Tron Legacy soundtrack is a good one. Today it's all about Type O Negative though.
Classic, some Bach (cello sonatas for the win), Beethoven, Mozart's Requiem, Sweelinck, possibly the Planets by Holst. John Williams' Interstellar is... stellar.
If I do have music while gaming, which I tend not to have.
Tron legacy - i actually bought that soundtrack on CD after watching the movie. use it for Halo a lot.

I'd like to add the nightwish version of walking in the air, instrumental versions of "can you read my mind" and Deathstars - blitzkrieg to sounds to fly to. The first two of these I listened to a lot when in space in SWG...
Others to add: "white / Mirror Mirror" from the RWBY soundtrack. Pretty much anything choral.

I'm also fond of Bruce Dickinson's songs, both solo and with Iron Maiden. I imagine Empire of the Clouds from the new Maiden album, while about an airship instead of spaceships, would be pretty great as a backdrop.
Yeah I'm a huge fan of Maiden / Bruce, saw them live at Twickenham stadium back in '08. Were pretty amazing.
A lot of their songs I really like in general, the trooper, hallowed be thy name (played that to myself before my wedding) flight of the icarus, rime of the ancient mariner... actually i think it'd be easier to list their songs I don't like (can't think of any... well, maybe ballad of mutt and in a band with an italian drummer).
