So where are all the TIE Advanced now?

By CaineHoA, in X-Wing

Wenn the Title was introduced everyone was thrilled how good they are going to be. I don't read a lot of discussion abut them anymore.

Who plays them?

To what success?

Is other stuff already better again?

They're losing. Trust me - I've tried to make them win. :)

I won't give up on my favourite ship in the game.

Many players fly them in my meta, it's mostly vader, but sometimes also Marek appears too.

One of our best player is having success with 3 AC advanced and Vader/Soontir. Advanced "swarm" are fine against TLT and overall they have decent matchup against almost everything, having trouble only against Dash if Vader doesn't bring EU, which should be mandatory on him

They are doing pretty **** fine actually.

You often see Decimator/Advanced builds doing well, some with and some without Palpatine. Mostly Vader.

There are also Palpmobile lists with one or two advanceds. Shuttle with Palpy plus 2 aces. Mostly Vader or Juno plus Soontir.

Then there are 4 Tempests with Accuracy corrector plus Dark Curse that i have seen doing well.

So inthink they found their place and are doing really well!

OK, the weakest spot for me always was the rather low maneauverbility and only banks on 1moves of the wheel. Didnt try them too often and when i did it was Vader without EU so maybe it was "my fault".

Juno is not a thing with her improved maneauvers?

It suffers from the fact that it came out about the same time as wave 7. too many different NEW things to play with!!! oh and I forgot about the new core set release as well...

Don't forget we are still in a two ship meta where not taking a big ship hurts you, as the mov change takes effect you'll see Vader Juno and maarek turn up.

In casual play I've been using them with defenders and they work really well.

With defenders? Seems rather expensive. What type of list did you use there?

Vader, Juno, marek and the generics are all solid. TLT is just stealing the spotlight right now.

I think they are excellent now.

Of course no instant win.

They will come. Once, the fear over TLTs is over, they will rise

I've been flying them with great success locally :) One of my regular opponents is even complaining that the new title has overpowered them now :)

Vader vessery and Steele work great together, Vader takes ATC and predator, vessery just needs VI and Steele ATC and predator.

The two V's strip shields then maarek delivers the crit of your choice, highly accurate and usually kills a ship each turn.

I am kicking a** and taking names with them. Just wont a store champ with vader/fel/palpmobile.

Black Omega's primary flight group is TIE Advanced, thanks for asking. Fly em loud, fly em proud.

exact list? 100pts, shield, VI EU?

Generics with AC are also good you never miss and take a defensive action without harming offense.

Also, btw, AC overwhelming. Good.

ATC. Underwhelming. Hard to use. Needs two actions.

Dial: ****.

Vader: Still doesn't look like Tier1 like MJ said. Good though. Also, survives less than Fel.

WHAAAT? ATC vader is my primary tool for smacking Palob off of the board.

Vader gets more mileage out of ATC than others since he has two native actions.

It seems like the Advanced is balanced now ^^

ATC. Underwhelming. Hard to use. Needs two actions.

LOL no. On the PS2 Tempest Squadron pilots, maybe. On the named pilots it's simply amazing.

One of my friends is rocking ATC Vader, ATC Juno and the Palpmobile. He's currently 6-0 against Brobots (who it seems to simply steamroll), and it routinely roflstomps other lists as well.

Watching a natural roll of two misses with Vader invariably become a hit and two critical hits is both hilarious and terrifying.

I have flown them a lot and flew a list with 4 of them yesterday for fun :)

2 Storm Squadron, Title and AC
LT Colzet with title and Firecontrol system.
CMD Alozen with Title, ATC, and Predator

Absolutely devastated a Boba Fett and 4 Z-95 list :)

ATC is only bad on generics.

Vader with predator, engine, and atc is 37 points of nasty. Add Palpatine and it's just gravy.

I think ptl engine atc alozen is also a really solid 34 points since his action economy is fine as long as you predict into range 1.
