Hello,

I saw two images of a Star Wars Episode 7 Tie Concept Art on MakingStarWars.Net and I was immediately intrigued by the ship. The design is a bit lazy, a Sith Interceptor merged together with a Tie Interceptor, but I really like the giant top wings and contrast with the smaller lower wings. I think that if this model were to ever 3D print successfully it would make a great Imperial / FO substitute for the IG-88 Aggressor.

That's a very cool looking ship! The way it's shaped reminds me of a beetle.

I think some of your proportions and object placements are a bit off. But either way the effort IS appreciated.

Isn't this just a modified version of the Sith Interceptor from KotR?

Could be used as the updated Interceptor.

I think the Fury Sith Interceptor was clearly an inspiration for the FO Tie Concept, especially if you look at the ship from the top. The two giant wings are practically identical. Perhaps the similarity is what ended up having the concept ship being axed from episode 7.

I loved playing with the Sith Fury Interceptor in Old Republic (even if it was on rails and not free flight) but the ship was BIG! The FO Concept Tie solves that problem by retaining the Fury overall feel, while reducing the ship size to a 2-3 crew member ship.

I just ordered the model from Shapeways, hopefully their 3D printer can handle the thin features and giant wings of the model!
