Best LCG card

By johnny shoes, in CoC General Discussion

AG - Military Bike . Personal favorite Agency Groundskeeper .

MU - Dr. Carson a great cost 1 Investigate with later game ability. Pagan Hall as the success token bank vault.

SY - Trent Dixon is awesome. Expendable Muscle dies for you and provides willpower and toughness post mortem, great!

CT - Emerging Deep One is hideous and cheep, lashing out at cthulhu monsters. Called By Azathoth text box blanking. A Single Path - one story per phase. Bokrug . The Terror of the Tides , The Thing From the Shores .

HA - Long Dead Prince cost 1 combat toughness recursion sweet card. Aspiring Artist cost 1 2 skill card draw. Vaporous Isle - Hastur theme redux

YO - Some beautiful tough hideous monsters, great ones, but game changers? Shoggies, Elders, Tcho Tcho, Cthuga - I pick Hideous Guardian . Twilight Gate may be the best Yog abilty, pull near anyone from resources. Toss up.

SH - Snow Graves is epic discard lock down for cost zero, for any faction. Under the Porch cost 3 any shub from deck to play then hand. Dark Druid recursion, Gibbering Soul recursion.

NEU - Alaskan Sledge Dogs hands down. Samantha Grace adds a story. Tithe Collector raises costs. Foiled! blank story text. Conspiracy Theorist technical foul!

So, which card is the best? I'll further my case and hear yours.

1. Alaskan Sledge Dogs
2. Military Bike
3. Trent Dixon
4. Snow Graves
5. Emerging Deep One

Not one event, strange. No Yog or Hastur. A neutral is in the top spot and is one of two Mountains of Madness cards. Can this be true.

ill do what i like the best from each faction

Agency - Govenment exorcist , marshall green gives willpower to all, but this guy can hold back a AO

Misk - Cafeteria Lady, not many good misk cards, period, but she's pretty good i think.

Syn - Richard III, again not many good syn cards but pretty solid one here.

Cthulhu The terror of the tides, i just like this card, 3 cost character any time, nice surprise card, any faction.

Hastur - Aspiring artist, awesome 1 cost character, fits perfect with hastur, have to have the cancels in your hand for them to do any good.

Yog - Nebulous ooze, fun ability.

Shub - under the porch, get ancients early, sure why not. works so well with y'gol

Neutral - parallel universe, allow the monster factions to win investigation, on the surprise, ok will do.

For my money, Military Bike is the best card, hands down. Even more powerful than any Black-Border 'jump to another story' card.

Chick

Those are great choices pearljam. Nebulous Ooze is a cheap cost 2. But why not commit the other character to begin with. I guess you have an option after the opponent defends. Parallel Universe is a tricky card. By the way, how is it paid for, twice? Finchington stops monsters just put into play that turn and forward. He is a tough two. I guess exotic collectors can handle monsters. And hte Cafeteria Lady has chops too.

I'm a big fan of the low-cost work horse cards ... 1 and 2 point cards that get into play and have an impact on the game early and often. Some of my favs:

Syndicate: Hard Case, Low Blow, Expendable Muscle, Patsy, Dutch Courage

Hastur: Blind Submission, Aspiring Artist, Victoria Glasser,

Yog: Nebulous Ooze, Son of Yeb

Haven't played the other factions that much but I'm sure there are some cheap, high-impact or just plain really fun cards in the 1 - 2 point range.

why would you pay for it twice?

Agency: Military Bike, hands down. Marshall Greene and Government Exorcist get the honorary award.

Miskatonic: Dr. Carson, Pagan Hall

Syndicate: Expendable Muscle, Vengeful Mob once you realize you've lost the struggle when you're not there.

Cthulhu: The Terror of the Tides, shame it's been played more in decks which do not have any more Cthulhu Cards.

Hastur: Aspiring Artist, it's simply too good. Infernal Obsession.

Yog: Twilight Gate, any character in play for one phase at Action speed.

Shub: Under the Porch.

Neutral: Alaskan Sledge Dogs, Descendant of Eibon (maybe a little too good for LCG format) and Paralel Universe

Parallel Universe acts so much like an event. As support, I saw it entering play and attaching as two actions. Glad to realize you pay just the once.

BrooklynMike, those are indeed LCG cards, the favorites I asked for. I intended to to exclude the core reprints.

Military Bike, Government Exorcist, Aspiring Artist, Terror of the Tides, Nebulous Ooze, Under the Porch, Parallel Universe, and Alaskan Sledge Dogs

These guys look like the favorites.
