Twin Shadows Last Mission Strategy and Kayne Somos (Spoilers)

By Boba Rick, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Okay, so I feel like I'm struggling to use Kayne Somos correctly on a tactical level. I never seem to have him in the right spot to use Firing Squad. What has been your experience so far with him?

I have one final mission in the Twin Shadows game, and it's the one with Boba Fett and Kayne Somos.

1) I have the Tech Superiority ability to exchange one of my dice for any other color, and I've been tearing it up with the red die.

2) I have the cloaking device which has made Kayne really tough.

3) Lastly, I have an agenda card that serves as an attachment and allows the group to substitute a normal die for a red die.

Any thoughts?

Which version of the final mission are you on?

I think it's called Fire in the Sky. It's the one with Boba Fett and Kayn Somos as reserved units. The other one only has Kayne Somos reserved.

Turns out I didn't need help. The Rebellion was crushed. I had another agenda card that allowed me to let a group attach multiple times: double red dice 4 times from Heavy Stormtroopers with jetpack and cloaking device was too much. Elite Trandoshans, Boba Fett, Elite Royal Guards, it was a mess.

I think next campaign I play I'm going to purposely run myself out of agenda cards before the finale.
