I don´t know how big the chance will be that someday we see new IG-88 pilots. However, now after big ships got nerfed a little bit, IG-88s have slightly lost seome power (although very much left )

Any ideas for potential new IG-88 pilot abilities? IG-88E, IG-88F, ...

There were other IG models though you could make pilots out of.

Actually, technically, there's no reason the Aggressor has to be limited to IGs at all.

There was no known uses of ig 2000 outside those 4 ig-88 droids. However ig-72 was a separate sentient droid who escaped with the other 4 ig88 series. That can possibly through some ignoring of some fluff fly his own ig2000 ship. Although he really shouldn't be able to link up with the other 4 since he has a seperate identity.

Actually, technically, there's no reason the Aggressor has to be limited to IGs at all.

But more importantly the ig2000 was a ship designed and built by ig88 on its own seperate factory.

No, but the IG-2000 is just a modified Aggressor assault fighter. Which does have other users besides the IG-88s.

And since the ship in the game is actually an Aggressor(with the title making it the IG-2000), there's no reason you can't have other Aggressor pilots.

One of mine (I have to confess, these are not all too good ideas, but enough for thought-provoking impulses

IG-88E: "You may discard 1 of your cannon upgrade cards to regenerate one shield." (good for double cannon IGs))

IG-88F: "Your secondary weapons may follow primary weapon range rules" (no overburn, but good in all range 1 situations (Autoblaster, Mangler)) (maybe better as a modification card)

I want to point out that your IG-88E is a strictly worse version of A.

Yes and no. You could theoretically equip both IGs with 2 point Flechette cannon for one more hull. Then when right before gettimg destroyed, you get rid of your main cannon, again getting one shield. Not so bad for me]

As I said in another thread like this. Bender - may take an extra two illicit slots.

A is almost certainly underpowered in this iteration. Wavered a lot between a lot of health regeneration. I will probably change it to discard ship crits or damage cards at the end of the end phase.

B is close to being overpowered but a 39 point ship doing one damage a turn isn't anything to write home about. It also isn't a guaranteed ion (but almost). Ways I've thought to weaken this ability is requiring a target lock or decreasing the hit and subsequent cancellation to 1.

C may seem overpowered against swarms but we all know how unreliable green dice can be. One way to weaken this ability is to increase agility by 1 until hit OR the end of the combat phase (whichever comes first). Is a lot better against TLT than original C.

D is slightly more slippery than the original with an extra K-turn, but can't rotate his firing arc as well as original D (moving that arc laterally is a problem a lot of the time). Probably the one that doesn't need any tweaking but like suggestions.

Mayhe FFG has planned some additional pilots (maybe not IG-88 bit others). You have to look at the title card. It says, other IGs equipped with the IG-2000 title. the text could just be: "share abilites with other IGs"

Technically, it just says any friendly ship equipped with the IG-2000 title(which is Aggressor only).

I doubt the Aggressor will be expanded.

Stress can be an abstract thing representing stress on the pilot and/or stress on the ship. Granted I think it's silly IG88 gets stressed about shooting at a ship with a rebel captive on it.

While there is only 4 IG88s I mean since the EU is kind of thrown out as cannon I mean I guess FFG could make more IGs. If you make non IG pilots you would have to do something to stop them from taking the title because it wouldn't make sense IGs getting pilot skills from organics.
