Probably one of the best synergies scum can offer

A few weeks ago when I was playing around with a few cards that came in the Hound's Tooth. I saw Bossk's crew card and it was very interesting: "After you perform an attack that does not hit, if you are not stressed, you must receive 1 stress token. Then assign 1 focus token to your ship and acquire a target lock on the defender.".

I was wondering and realiazied that if you had gunner and Bossk on the same ship, you could fire your weapon, miss attack, receive stress and focus and target lock, fire again with heavily modified dice. And if you put k4 security droid, you could perform that green maneuver to clear the stress and get a free target lock.

I've come up with a list with this combo:

Latts Razi 33

Hounds Tooth 6

Engine upgrade 4

K4 security droid 3

Bossk 2

Gunner 5

Total: 53 points

I found this combo really effective, but I can't decide what to put with it. Could you give some suggestions?

I suggest you drop the hounds tooth title and give him 2TLT Ys to cover for the back arc.

On the other hand,i'm not sure about your use of the K4 droid. You know you can only have one target lock on the same ship, so if you want to take advantage of the droid AND Bossk you would need somebody who fires before Latts and makes use of the debuff via Latts ability. Could be an IG since theyre PS6.

This is a super agressive build. I don't like having so many points on a ship with no defensive capabilities at all. Dropping the title would be a start. Wether the EU is worth it is another question. While it helps with turning you have low PS, so you don't get as much value from it. That is a whole 10 points shaved off without hurting your attack at all!

As for the escort ships I don't think TLT Y-Wings are the way to go, since Latts ability synergizes a lot better with few high quality attacks than with lots of singularly inconsequential ones. If you stick with you 50+ build then an IG might be the way to go. If you make the YV cheaper your options become more open. You could go with Guri with Predator and ATs and a K-Thingy for example, two 3 dice attacks for Latts to support. You could have a Firespray instead of Guri, or a bunch of other fun scummy pilots.

I have run a very similar build to great success I drop the title and use tactician instead of k4 but k4 adds a little more offense. I then run N'dru and guri, though I have also run a kiraxz and guri or talonbane and another khiraxz. 5 dice at range 1 with latts razzi dropping their agility is truly awesome just remember that a good player will kill talonbane first. TLT aren't really useful with latts razzi's ability and if you are going to use bosk crew to get the second target lock you want to have something that can fire before her and after. 5

I prefer Outlaw Tech to K4 on the YV-666. There's a lot more red than green on the dial, and it's one point less.

Take latts with k4 security droid and weapons engineer, and only do green maneuvers. That gives you 2 target locks no matter what, and you can spend them however you please. Now, the important part is the help.

N'dru, crackshot, glitterstim, homing missiles

Talonbane cobra, crackshot, glitterstim, engine upgrade.

If the combo goes off, n'dru can fire a 5 die attack that cancels up to 3 evades. Take a target lock, pop glitterstim, latts burns a lock to drop a die, spend crackshot to cancel another, and homing missiles cancels an evade token. Bye soontir.

It works for talonbane too, who will likely boost to range one, glitterstim, latts burns the lock, you spend crackshot, and then it's 5 vs significantly fewer dice.

I made this exact list, except without the title. I ran two Black Sun Aces, each with crackshot and glitterstim. They are all ps 5 so you can have them attack in any order and I loved canceling a defense with Latts to then cancel another with crackshot. It really makes sure you get an attack in when you need it to.

Cool idea, but you can't turn very fast and that coupled with how quickly the thing takes damage, its an awful lot of points to put into one ship, no?

I feel that the YV doesn't need EU or the title in this build.

Imo, the cheaper the YV-666 the better

zero defensive tech and one agility does not a fat ship make

could see you scrapping literally everything off of Latz and just give her a Weapon's Enginner (maybe keep the K4?) or just the Bossk + Gunner combo

the more points you keep off of her, the more you have to fill your squad with ships for her to support
