Cards!?

By Talisker55, in X-Wing

Just got around to opening up my wave 7 and core 2 stuff.

I was incorporating the cards, and realized I have a ton of cards.

Right now, I have a converse shoe box where I store them. There must be a better way.

How do you all store your cards? Bonus points for a tokens solution. Ship storage was the easy part!

Baseball card sleeves in a binder. Three binders, actually. One for each faction, along with a full rulebook. A fourth binder holds upgrade cards in the same sleeves, fitted in sideways. The upgrade cards are, of course, sorted by type and in alphabetical order.

Tokens are in a Plano tray, with all the shield, focus, evade, stress, critical, ion, munition, etc tokens I could ever use, maneuver templates, asteroids, bombs, dice, and a damage deck.

No, I'm not OCD at all...

All my cards fit into the deckbox that came with the outbreak expansion to the resident evil deck building game. The infection has spread to the sw universe.

I have an Ultra pro binder.

UK Amazon

This binder is great. It holds literally all of my cards, sleeved:

- All of my pilot cards

- All upgrade cards

- All reference cards

- All maneuver cards

The pockets are side loading, so it's great for upgrade cards.

Full size cards are easy enough, but I wish someone made deck boxes for the small ones.

Binder here as well it makes it so much easier to find stuff, I have two the first is pilots the second is upgrade cards.

My friend mocks me, then wastes quarter of an hour searching for his upgrades.

Personally, I hate binders. Maybe it was a few years of playing Magic.

I use those little cardboard boxes you get when you place high in events. I've got 3 of those and they hold all my cards. I put them in the top of my Plano.

For the tokens, I recommend getting a little pill container. Either that or the little Plano organizers. There are a number of cheap ones if you head to your local Wal-mart equivalent.

I did binders for the longest time, but I hate having to double up the upgrade cards. It makes it very difficult to use both "sides" of the sleeve, and re-organizing when new cards are added is a chore. I eventually ditched the binders and now have three Ultra-Pro deck boxes for the three factions' pilot cards, and the upgrades bagged individually by type and stored in a large card box.

I use binders but I use the Glen 2-ring binder for my upgrade cards. It's a weird size and the cards don't fit perfectly (the pockets are a bit too tall) but it works well enough and I prefer it a lot over doubling up the upgrades in an ordinary binder. It's about £15 and comes with 50 pages (8 pockets per page) so more than enough for every upgrade up until around wave 20!

I keep all my upgrade cards rubber banded together by type in a plastic baggy in the bottom of a tacklebox with my templates, pilot cards (also rubber banded by faction), and obstacles. Ships go in foam, and tokens/dice go in the top rack of the tacklebox

I have all my upgrades in a binder. Business card pages are the way to go. Makes it so easy to find what you need quickly.

Thanks All.

Looks like I will be headed shopping for more tackle/tool boxes!

I think I need to have a small game token box, and a larger box that holds the rest fore when I through down all the ships.

Four binders. Hand-painted faction logos for Scum, Rebels, and Imps on the respective binders. Then a blank one for upgrades. They all attach to each to each other via velcro command strips for easy transport.
