Greetings fellow bannerman!

By Nightskia, in A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (1st Edition)

Hail to all kingdoms from Greece, Athens!

Recently I strated playing the "A game of Thrones" Board game and ofcourse I have a question that I need your help with happy.gif

Because I have a translated edition (in Greek) I'll try as best as I can to write it in English.

The cards that you have to pull at the beginig of every turn (marked with I, II, III) I think they call them westeros cards..

in one of the cards marked III (3) the text writes: Footmen don't give power to fights but can support

The question is (I hope you understand which card I'm talking about) What footmen do?

Thank you for your time happy.gif

That means that the rules regarding support still apply, it's just that your each individual supporting footman strength is 0 and cannot be modified to be anything else.

Take this example:

Two footmen with a +1 support order give 3 support strength. But when Rains of Autumn westeros card is played, only +1 order is accounted, making their total support strength 1.

But it is important to know that they still provide support. It is not important in vanilla game, but if you buy expansions you will see leaders with text similar to If you are supported gain +2 strength and a sword icon

Thank you Kouteki! happy.gif

Just want to make clear, in addition to what kouteki said - the card does not affect, in any way, the COMBAT SRENGTH of footman when they are attacking or defending units - only when they are SUPPORTING.

That aside - you made an excellent purchase and I wish you many hours of fun with this fantastic game!
